A GREAT GAME IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MOD CHIP

The original MidEvil was a great game, and MidEvil II was just as good. The additions of features such as the Danhand and Dankerstein was a welcomed addition. However, if you wanted to power back up you was not allowed to go back to previous level's life fountain; they were all dried up. Also if you had a Mod Chip installed in your system, MidEvil II was not allow you to finish.

Good game

Although medieval 2 is a good game and well worth your money, It could have been better. It lost some original features like being able to return to prvious levels and use the health resivours. I heard thier would be more levels than the original but, unfortinutly their were less. The puzzles could also have been harder. The puzzles in the first one had me stumped for days sometimes, But I usually can figure out the ones in the second one in at most a day. Besides these flaws the game is wonderful and well worth your money.

A Must Buy!

A few of the levels in this game aren't medievil, such as the gardens, the observatory, the academy, and the museum. But some such as the tomb, hall, sewer, cathedral are.Perhaps that's the only problem. You can play as DanHand, half head, half hand to get into small passages too.You also go boxing, when Sir Dan's friend,The Professer puts it on a Frankenstein-like body. You can even play without Sir Dan's skull on.And in the tomb you have to solve a puzzle of rescuing the Egyptian princess,Kiya. The main plot is that your favorite skeleton knight is awakened by a mad wizard named Palethorn, with the pages of Zarok,(remember that big chinned dress wearing madman who trapped the mayor, awakened the dead zombies, and tried his best to kill Sir Dan?) So Dan is awakened to attack the awakened dead. This game may be challenging though. And also you know,I suggest you buy the strategy guide.Get this game,it's fun.

MediEvil was a great game, and its sequel delivers more of the same. Sir Dan is back, this time with a playable severed hand and interesting new characters. The graphics and cinematics are top-notch still, and the soundtrack remains very good. Controls are the only problem, but if you can ignore a few jumping difficulties with the controls, then MediEvil II is the perfect action game for you. You should also check out the original and Akuji the Heartless for some other good action/adventure titles

Medievil 1 is much better.

The 360 turning view in this game is just as bad as the first one. If you are standing next to a wall or tall object, the turning view gets messed up bad. You can turn your view with the L and R buttons but the game itself often turns your view automatically in a wrong direction which is really annoying. After you go thru a doorway you find yourself facing the opposite direction. When you make a jump the game will sometimes turn the view on you in the middle of the jump which makes Dan fall to his death. You have to fight the auto turning with the R and L buttons which subtracts from the enjoyment of playing.
In the first one you could always replay the early levels to fill up on life. In Medievil 2 you cannot. The life fountains are gone for good once you use them and the life bottles do less and less. In Medievil 2 The missions are longer and more tedious. They are more ridiculous. It is virtually impossible to figure out what you have to do in many of the missions without a complete walkthrough. It is virtually impossible to beat this game without using the cheats menu because otherwise the game doesn't give you enough life to survive. The monsters in this one are harder to hit and it takes more hits to kill them. In ther first one Dan had a deep voice, in this one Dan has a higher pitched whiny voice which is also annoying.
Medievil 1 is a great game that is fun to play. Medievil 2 is a tedious game that is only fun to play if you have the cheats menu. To get the cheats menu, first pause the game, then hold L2 the whole time while you punch the buttons in the following order: (TCT CCT LCU DRC LLT RCL LTC DCCR) Those are abreviations for Up, Right, Down, Left, Circle, and Triangle. Then cheats will appear at the bottom of the paused menu, then you can give yourself infinite life.

Keeps getting better

This was a good game even with some of the problems. The two main proplems are the lenght and camera angals. The pros of this game are the weapons and the puzzles.

really disappointing

Medievil 2. I imangined this to be as good as its prolouge. Sadly, the serial fell from awesome to bad. The game lacks a good story. Also, they changed almost every single voice is changed from MediEvil 1. However, if you have NEVER played MediEvil number 1, the game probally won't be as bad.

I would reccomend the first game. I almost wonder if the same COMPANY made it.

Medievil 2 is awesome!

In Medievil you get a lot of weapons. In Medievil 2 you get a ton of weapons. My favorite gun is the Gatiling Gun (high-power machine gun), my favorite sword is the Magic Sword. You can also get bombs. It's also a lot tougher to beat Medievil 2 than Medievil. They are both great games.

More fun than you can shake a stick at!

Entertaining plot, fun and detailed graphics, tough puzzels and each level offers different creatures and terrain to go up against. It should be madatory for all video game developers to have to play Midevil I and II beforer making a new game. Although I did like Midevil I better than two, I still think they are two of the best walkthrough style games on the market for any gameing system available. Unlike many of my reviews - I HIGHLY suggest the purchase of this game.
