Watch Out, for the Spider-Man!

WOW!!! This game is great. I bought it for my four-year old son who LOVES spiderman. He played it on 'child' mode and it seemed easy enough for him. I played it on 'child' mode and it was fun. Still have to play on the other difficulty levels. The graphics are great, except that sometimes spiderman becomes invisible. Highly recommend!

Spider-Man by Activision is one of the best (if not THE best) Super hero games there is! In this game, Spider-Man is framed and the Police are after him. A bank is being robbed and after a small turitual in level 1, you need to prevent this (actually in Level 1 the goal is to get to this building which is near the bank). After this, You need to save J. Joahna Jameson from The Scorpion. But, even after you save his life, Jameson turns you into the Police. You must then escape from them. It is then discovered that Rhino is on a rampage, and Venom (who witnessed the imposter Spiderman stealing Docter Octavios device) is trying to be the good guy and kidnapped Mary Jane to lure Spider-Man to him. After Defeating Rhino you must chase Venom acroos building tops, and through the sewers. After convincing Venom that You were framed, you go to the daily bugle. Venom sense that Carnage is around and leaves to find him. We then find out that there a symbiots infesting the bugle. You must then go, destroy the generaters creating them, and face Mysterio, who is the one who framed you. He tells you that there are symbiots being created at a waterfront warehouse. You then go there and destroy any generaters that are there. You must then stop the fog that is spreading through New York, and rescue the black cat, who was kidnapped after you battled Rhino. You then go and fight Docter Octopus who everyone thought was reformed. After defeating him, you battle Carnage. AFter they're both defeated, it looks like the game is over, but the Symbiot of Carnage goes over Doc Ock. Now you must escape the underground base alive...

Spider-Man is a great game. It is a bit too short though. There are training levels which are target practice, time trials, Fighting etc. The target practice can get annoying because like most target practice you must avoid hitting innocent people or allies/other Super hero's. Your probably thinking "yeah, so?" Well, Not all of these Characters are from Spider-Man. If (like me) you know about plenty of other Marvel Characters, this should be alright, but you don't, well, it will get annoying untill you get to know who's good and who's bad. There were people there I didn't even regonise, and I consider myself to be someone who knows a lot about the marvel comics. Anyway, this game includes camoe's from other Marvel superhero's and other good guys from the world of Spider-Man. You also should collect the Comic covers that a scattered in place throughout the game. There is a special suit you unlock if you collect them all. Spider-MAn 2099. He does double damge. There are other Costumes to unlock too. Some just look different, some have special abilities, some have things that make them not as good as the real Spider-Man costume, such as Peter Parker, who is restricted to 2 web catridges. The restrictio for other costumes is 10. Other Costumes to unlock are Symbiot Spider-Man if you beat the game in any mode. He has unlimited webbing. Spider-Man unlimited if you beat the game a 2nd time in any mode. He turns invisble to the enemy's in all the levels except Boss levels (Which annoyed me). Captain Universe if you beat the game on hard mode. He does double damage, has unlimited webbing, and is invincible. there are plenty more. There are also some cheats to use in the game. "DELUX" is one, that gives Spidey a big head. However, you can not undo cheats so if you save the game, your stuck with that cheat! And, the green Goblin might not be in the game, but there is a reference to him!

All in all a great game and a must have for everyone, not just Spidey fans!

This was an excellent game! The graphics are below average, but I thought it was fun to web people up and crawl on the walls and stuff. As I said, the graphics are a bit blurry, but this was a fun game. In it, you encounter such villains as Scorpion, and Venom, etc.

This game is too short. I can beat the game in about 3 days.
About all the difficulty levels are the same.The graphics are
good and the game is fun.It is not the best idea to buy this
game.

This is a very good game and I think you ought to buy it.You can do almost everything spiderman can do in the TV series.

If you like spiderman than this is the game for you.
although you don't get to roam free around new york city as freely as you might think.(in the game you can't just go where you like)
the actual levels are so easy but to complete the game you have to collect all the comics and pictures in the game to get the best costumes.
There are quite alot of costumes including spiderman unlimted which you can go invisiblewith and other costumes that don't have any mutant powers at all.
You can see other people such as captin America and the black cat.
you can go aginst people such as the scorpian,Rihno,doc oct,carnage,monster doc oct and venom.
the graphics are a little poor but that dosen't matter because the thugs and other bad guys are so fat that you will be able to see them from a mile a way and they are so easy to defeat.
the overall is it is one of the best games you can get.

............WOW! I love spider man and know his entire history (and most of the villain's history to). Now this game is a must have for spidey fans and action lovers. It's great for parnets to kid kids (no blood folks!) and wonderful to rent. It's short though, but theres a spider man 2:enter electro! Plus i think Venom ( a blue alien/human with both halfs hating spiderman) is funny too. So grab some money and swing on over to your local video game store because my classic game senses are tingling

This game is cool. Its really fun to play. There are many different levels to play. There are different villans to play against like venom,doc oc,rhino,& carnage. You can interact with Marvel characters such as daredevil & black cat. There are 4 difficulty levels to choose from:Kid Mode,Easy,Medium,Hard. When I first played it,I beat it in 1 day(on easy mode.)It isn't too hard on hard mode,but its a little more challenging. After you baet the game,you can get a new spidey costume. You can collect a comicbook on every level to reveal something about that partcular comic book. There is also a trainig mode which is good to work on survivalpractice,target practice and see how many bad guys you can kill in a certain amount of seconds. The only bad thing is that the green goblin isnt in it. If you are a spidey fan, this is a good game to get. Its worth the money, even though its pretty easy.
