Every girl I have showed this game to (no I didn't show it to my mom, or yours) has without exception been fascinated by it and thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Need I say more?

If you can get this game, IT IS WORTH IT.

Due to the rarity of SPFII, I decided to write this to contribute more "I WANT THIS GAME NOW!" fanaticism.

This game is a very interesting single player challenge, even though the first two levels of easy mode are way too simple. Once the difficulty steps up, so does the skill of which you face off against. Even after you beat Hard mode, there is still one more level of difficulty to beat, which you must get going through the Puzzle mode. After you've thoroughly exhausted yourself with that, then the real fun begins. Invite friends over and challenge them. Within minutes, the entire house will be rocking. This game ranks as one of my top 10 video games ever played, and will continue to be in that ranking. BELIEVE THE HYPE!

I loved this game!

I love Super Puzzle Fighter 2. It is extreamly fun. I am a 14 year old girl and I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Stratagie (SP?) games. Super Puzzle fighter two is like a new and improved TETRIS game. I like tetris but not nearly is much as this game. My Mom, 38, who doesnt really enjoy playstation absoloutly LOVES this game. My 5 year old brother even enjoys his game because you get to match the colors. This game is something the whole family wil enjoy. The only problem with this game is its very, very rare. We have not found a copy with a reasonable price yet. My mom refuses to buy a used compy for almost a hundred bucks. I dont blame her. Well, We will keep trying to find one!

Buy it!

If you like puzzle games like Tetris, well, this makes those other games look like last night's dinner (after a bit of digestion)! Ya, I know the game is rather expensive.... know why? IT IS WORTH EVER PENNY! Think you can find this game used at the local game shop? Try again! People who own this game WILL NEVER SELL IT unless they really need the money or they some how came across one cheap and only intend to sell it.... as I did! So you pay 90 or even 100 dollars........ BIG DEAL. New games cost around 50 dollars and most are not even as fun as Super Puzzle Fighter! You can literally play this game for hours on end when you get into competition with your friends. Single player is no bore either. There are lots of things to unlock in "Street Mode" and the replay value on this game is infinite. You will NEVER TIRE of this game!

Addicting!

This fun game is a cross between Tetris/Bust a Move and Street Fighter. Anyone who is into puzzle/coordination games like Bust a Move will be hooked on this game. The characters are cute and fight in the middle of the screen as you build power gems and crash them. I used to love playing this game alone for hours, especially winning the prizes in Street Fighter mode, but once I started playing against friends, I can no longer play alone. You and your opponent attack each other as you break the gems. This game is easy to learn, even for the not-so-coordinated, very competitive, and extremely addicting. I've had it for 2 months and find no need to get another game.

First puzzle fighter, then Tetris

A while back we previewed a new Capcom game that didn't quite seem to fit into their normal fighter outfit. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (an almost self-parodying name, there) surprised everyone with its cute, super-deformed characters from the Street Fighter and Dark Stalker games, Street Fighter II-like combos, and intense, strategy driven gameplay. Here was the puzzle game to beat all puzzle games, plus it had all our favorite Capcom characters. How could you go wrong? Puzzle Fighter follows the basic two-player puzzle premise, where paired objects drop and stack into columns. In this case, they're colored gems, and by stacking four or more like colors together in a square or rectangle they make large gems, called Power Gems. The Crash Gems also drop, and these are the ones that shatter the gems. So far, this is pretty standard puzzle fare, but Puzzle Fighter really excels in strategy. A little luck does come into the game, but the real determining factor is planning. Not only do you want to stack your gems so a lot will bust at a time, you want to stack them so multiple colors will chain react in succession. Bust a lot, and gems will rain down on your opponent. These games won't be able to bust until they count down from five. The pattern that your gems fall on your opponent are determined by your character, and vice versa, so if you know your opponent's drop pattern, you can set up for that. This is really the key to Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo success.Perhaps the most satisfying part of the game is setting up the multi-hit combos. When you pull one of these off, your character attacks your opponent's character, complete with the sound effects from the original fighting games. It makes the game extremely exciting, and gets you shouting at your opponent like a madman! Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is an excellent puzzle game, and is fun even when you're playing alone. It doesn't matter if you like puzzlers or not, you owe it to yourself to check this game out.

You wanna have the best game for PlayStation X/1/2, well this is it! You won't go wrong with this game! The Street Mode is a more competitive version of the Arcade Mode where you can unlock alternate clothes for your characters, Music Collections, Sakura's Song "I Want You To Know" (Why is it called Sakura's Song? I don't know!), Pics of the characters and more! The Arcade Mode is addicting for a while, then drops out of the game! But the Versus Mode is really cool! You need a friend or a bunch of friends for a Vs. Mode Tournament! This game also has a MASTER MODE!!! The game won't give you any second chances and the AI is incredibly SMART! So smart, they have you in a corner before you have even the slightest chance! This is one of the greatest games of all times! You can't go wrong with this game at any party...

Great!

Fans of Capcom's video games expect the best from the company, and that's precisely what they get with Puzzle Fighter. Not only does this game have splendid graphics, memorable music, and great sound effects, but the characters--most of whom hail from the now-legendary Street Fighter and Darkstalkers video game collections--are impossible to forget. The game also has plenty of unlockable goodies for gamers to enjoy, and the gameplay is not only easy to learn yet difficult to master (as is the gameplay of ANY great puzzle game), but the challenge of trying to overcome CPU opponents whose AI keeps increasing as the gamer carries on in his or her quest to be the best is very commendable.

The bottom line is this: Any PSX owner who hasn't at least rented Puzzle Fighter by Capcom is doing nothing more than missing out on a great gamin experience. This may be one of the more expensive titles out there for the Sony PlayStation, but it's guarenteed to be worth every dollar.
