Lineage II is a beautiful and engrossing game. It's been vastly under rated in the media, but is in fact one of the most popular online games in the world, ranking only 2nd to World of Warcraft. Lineage II's community is a bit more grown up and extremely loyal and friendly.

What drew me to the game was the wonderful art style and the more I explored the better the environment and character graphics became. Gameplay is very solid, though at a slower pace compared to other games in this genre, but it's hopelessly addictive.

This epic collection is not only cheaper than the original Lineage II, but comes with all of the expansion packs that normally must be downloaded, plus 45 days of free play. Also, expansions come about twice a year, changing the look and feel of the game and are entirely free.

If you like your MMORPGs with huge, unbounded worlds (No invisible walls or load times), appealing asian-style design and solid, well-aged gameplay, I highly reccomend this game.

Not for wussy warcraft players!

Warcraft's too easy! But Lineage2 offers challenge. Anyone can kill brainless monsters, but how do you stack up when it comes to defeating thinking opponents?

Use your personal charisma to pursuade people to join your clan (a "blood pledge"). Politics and diplomacy determine who will be friend and who will be foe. Lay seige to Castles in mass player-vs-player combat, for the leader that claims the throne gets to levy taxes against other players hunting in that territory. Then prepare to defend your prize against all contenders every 2 weeks!

Punish those who challenge your dominance by declaring war on enemy clans, or mete justice with your sword in retribution to those who support your enemies! Or kill people just because you think they're dirty cheaters!

The best game you never heard of!

This game is one of the best mmrpg right now, with great graphics, nice sounds and beautiful views.
you cant even try to compare lineage2 with wow, just lets say that wow is for kids.
Lineage II quite literally puts the "multiplayer" back into the MMO genre. The title is built around universal player-versus-player combat that culminates in the major gameplay dynamic of seizing and holding one of the castles that dot the land. Is this a good or bad thing? It depends on your perspective. Players who are looking to just run around, do quests, kill monsters, and go on adventures by themselves or with a small group of friends are going to be dramatically disappointed. Put simply, it's almost impossible to go solo past the first few levels of the game, and the higher you go, the more people you need to be allied with in order to get anything out of it.

I've played lineate2 for the past 2 years and over all its a grate game. i love it. the only problem with it is if you want to get anywher ein it it takes alot of time and the equiptment is expencive because bots control the market. a large part of the newer people playing the game use ebay. or some other company to buy there ingame money. this drives prices up. good game tho

I first this game on a reccomendation from a guy at the store where I buy my games and I had no idea I'd enjoy it soo much. Ok know this: while every one is raving about WOW (World of Warcraft), Lineage 2 has been a step ahead of them all along. 1st the graphics in WOW are really like bad anime to me. The graphics in Lineage are arguably the most beautiful and detailed I've ever seen in a game. It is a seemless world meaning that there is stop to reload a different part of the game map such as in games like Guild wars. It has the most realistic economic, political and pvp system i have seen. In other words it reflects the real world in that each server brings with it the mentality and ethics of the players. It is not for everyone in the sense that pvp can happen at any time though the majority of players are respectful of this and its not as crazy as some players have deemed it. There is karma or consequences for pk (indisciminate player killing). There are updates in the game every year which include extensions to the already massive seemless world. I highly reccomend this game for all these reasons plus it reflects the lore of Lord of the Rings better than the LOTR game does in my opinion. Castle seiges, touranments, clans or solo play it has it all. Most of all when you fight, especially as a mage the spells and fights skill each have thier own uniques graphics which are really cool as opposed to guild wars where they all look the same and your just tossing hot red balls onto creatures at a distance.
Bottom line you get what you pay for. A monthly Online game such as L2 cant be compared with cheaper games or solo games. If your a whimp play WOW. If you want the real full MMORPG experience play L2. It is still the most widely played game in the world for a reason.
