Burnout is a great game but you're not actually destroying cars like if you crash into the car, the money is for dameage unlike the points you get. If you want a really exciting and crushing cars game, you should either get Burnout 3 or Burnout Revenge.

just like Fast and the Furious

I just got the game BURNOUT by AKLM, it is by far one of the best controling game out on the PS2. The handling is very smooth, the car don't slide all over the place when doing a quick turn. The turn signal signs (marks) on the road is well placed. It gives you enough time to let you turn and when to turn. (Those that played NFS on the PS1 knows what I mean). And this game, you race down a freeway and city with 100 of cars driving on the road.

One of the best games on the PS2

This is absolutly the BEST racing game on the PS2. I love its exilerating speed, unpredicatable traffic, and I love running into the traffic at 135 MPH with a tow truck. It has a very high risk level, but once you get used to how all the cars feel (which only takes one or two races), you don't care. Just race as fast as you can into the opposing lane in a double lane tunnel or drift around a tight curve, barley missing a swerving bus when you come out of it, this game provides a constant adrenaline rush that you'll love. It has pretty good graphics and takes advantage of the PS2's capabilaties as far as that goes, but you don't even care about the graphics all that much because you got to keep a sharp eye on the road. If you are still unshure about this game, rent it and you WON'T REGRET IT.

Graphics, ok. Adictive, hell ya! Fun... kinda.

I really liked BURNOUT, especially the graphics. But the fact that you're always timed and rushing to the next checkpoint, it's like you never get enough time to even play. Before you get into it, your time runs out. On the other side, that game is pretty fun. The awsome and realistic crashes, good graphics, and cool cars. Plus, this game can be very adictive. Never buy it for more than it's worth if you find it for over $... anywhere, don't buy it.

I liked this game. It has awesome graphics, they look like the real thing on replays. I was watching a replay of one of my races and my dad walked in. He thought I was watching tv! The sound is good. There are a few reasons why I only gave it four stars. 1st, the turning radius on all the cars is about 200 feet, or, in other words, they don't handle very good. Next, there is about a million replays after you crash and it takes precoius time of the clock. Then there is only 2 veiws to choose from. And last but not least, it is nearly impossible to finish a race until you practice up.
