This game rocks. The new feautures that it has is awesome. You can clear out an entire room with the butt of your gun. Also this game has online multiplayer for up to 24 people. Another thing, the trench gun. In the past Call of duty games we never got a shot gun. now we do the trench gun is awesome. Buy it or rent it NOW

I'll have to admit, that this game is truly a very cool game in my view and one of the best of 2006. This game beats Call of Duty 2 graphics wise, however, unlike 2 and sticking to a solid story line, Call of Duty 3 moves you to different battles so that you can get a full effect of WWII. The game does have its frustration points (like all new games do), however, with time, you pretty much will learn all the new stuff very easy. This game gets a solid A+ in my view and is highly recommended !!

The online gaming and set up will keep you playing for hours, I have played this for over fifteen hours straight, the only negative is that when you are searching for a game it will show games that you cannot connect to for some reason, this will happen about 10% of the time, it only keeps you from playing for twenty seconds or so. The Campaign mode is okay, but if you are an above average gamer, you will get tired of beating the game even on veteran mode, live is definetly the way to go.

i'm a huge fan of call of duty, united offensive and 2 on PC. however, COD 2 was disappointing in numerous ways so i was excited to be wowed again by COD 3 for ps2. unfortunately, nothing of the sort happened. things looked great at first during the training session.. then the game starts and i quickly realized 1. the graphics are a big problem. at first, they look great. the problem is when you start trying to shoot people, and realize that the graphics are blurry and it's hard to see. apparently they made these graphics for the 360 and ps2, but the problem is, ps2 can't handle graphics that good. in that sense, i'd take the graphics of COD 2 any day, a game which gives incredible distance graphics where you can spot someone far off. the second thing i don't care for is using the ps2 controls. i guess that's a matter of preference, but on the other hand, i was impressed with the controls for timesplitters: future perfect, resident evil 4 and urban chaos: riot response. to me, the weapons and moving here just don't "feel" good or fluid. in fact, they make me feel sick. the controls in COD 2 are probably the best in any FPS ever to date.

this game might be worth playing on 360 or ps2 if you like console controls, because i'm sure the graphics are a lot better. but i can't recommend it as a ps2 game. on march 26th, 2007, medal of honor: vanguard for ps2 will be released. it looks like an amazing game.. if it controls well, it will easily surpass COD 3.

This is the best game ever. I thought Call of duty 2 was really cool but I got this last night and it was awsome. If you are buying you first "Call of Duty" then buy Call of duty 2 big red one.
Over all this is the best game ever.

Falls short of hype!

The new features were not significant enough to over come the slow and disconnected story line compared to COD2 which had a map to show the progress of the mission. It was very disconnected. The individual segments have some intensity but you are left with no since of accomplishment with the exception of perhaps three very challenging segment. One in the middle of the game and the last two missions. The second to the last feels as if you finally defeated the (game) but you supprisingly have a final mission! Some missions have too drawn out battles to get to a checkpoint and others have rather frequent ones. Lastly, the music score and ability to control sound effects are essentially nil. Get this game if you are a COD enthusiast but the first two CODs are excellent!

Call of duty 3 puts you in the action and excitement of the Normandy Breakout Campaign.I'm only on level 2 so I only know about levels 2 and 1. The first level puts you in the war-torn streets of Saint Lo.The second level puts you on a rainy island in Chambois.New feature! Now you can fight in hand-to-hand combat mode!The first time you experience hand-to-hand fighting, is in Saint Lo. As you walk into a room a German jumps out and attacks!You must then fight him off! Sometimes I feel as though I'm actually in the Great War.Best first-person shooter I've ever played!I highly recommend it!

With Call of duty - 3 activision as again done a good job. I really liked the graphics u feel as though u r in the field and u kind of handle almost every thing right from machine guns , riding jeeps to riding tanks which give a feeling as tough you are in the middle of the battle field.

it was fun but easy and not the best graphics. i got through it in one day on the normal level and i couldn't change it to hard. it was a cheap thrill for a day
