What a tragedy! Perhaps the later versions of the game have fixed all the problems with the original but since I've only played this one I can only speak to it.

Game summary: build a mall from the ground up. Lay the floors, walls, stairs, doors, stores, etc. Control marketing, staff, special events, and store price margins. The game concept itself is great and appeals to any Tycoon fan.

Positive Aspects:
+ A great selection of decorations, stores, and improvements. The possibility for combinations is really good. Some stores can have up to 4 different "departments" and you can mix and match what's available in them.
+ The game interface is easy to use. Once you're familiar with where everything is you'll find it very simple to navigate. The buttons are all organized fairly well and make it simple to understand.

Negative aspects:
- the Graphics and Sound are rough. Sometimes irritating. Every single time you build something you must endure the sound of a construction crew at work - or shut the sound off. The music is rather lame. The graphics are poorly done. Some of the animations are okay but overall the effects are lacking.
- There's no tutorial to speak of. The one provided in the game is more of a brief talking head trying to explain a couple of things about the game to you.
- The gameplay is disappointing. You can build this great looking mall with tons of different stores and endure a meager 30 people shopping in it. Which of course doesn't do wonder for your finances. It's difficult to tell how to attract people, how much to charge stores for operation, and what to research next.

I enjoy sim and tycoon games, notably the Sims series, the Transport Tycoon and Airport Inc. Simulation of a mall is also a nice idea but this Take2's production has significant flaws making the game simply unplayable. The biggest problem is user interface, complicated menu and difficult way of constructing the mall facilities. There is a potential in this simulation but the current retail version should not have been released in my opinion. Do not waste your time and money on this one.

I like it its fun to see how the mall will take shape & if you research the right things you know what sells best etc..... Just be sure to have a good video card & lots of memory available to play it.

I GOT IT FOR CRISTMAS. IT WAS SOOO COOL! BUY NOW I'M TIED OF IT. I'M THINKING OF SELLING IT. SO OVER ALL IT WAS OK. BUT IT IS WIERD.... ALIENS ATACK....ZOMBIES KILL YOUR PEOPLE.....AND OTHER STUPID STUFF. I GUSS I RECAMEND YOU BUY IT, BUT YOU WILL TIER OF IT IN A MONTH OR 2

At first this game really rocks (espeacily if you have lots of money). BUt later when there are more people, the graphics get bad. It takes 15 minutes for everything to load! If you don't get frusterated or impatient easily (i.e. waiting three hours to get a bowl of ice cream), then this game is totally for you. It's very interesting, and if you know the cheats, it's even more interesting and fun. To summarize it, it would have been such a marvelous game if it didn't take so long for everything to load.

I got this game under false advertising because if you see the cover, it looks like it has good graphics... Well, it dosen't! I also thought it was associated with roller coaster tycoon, but it isn't.The graphics are terrable, its too complicated, and its boring. I wish I could've given it no stars. It's a waste of money so don't buy it!

Don't buy this game. I thought It would be good, its a great concept but there are too many bugs and problems with it and there is very little to no support with the game.

I have to admit that I'll give Take2 Interactive software credit for thinking of such a great idea for a game, but they really could have put some work into it. The cover of the game looked really interesting and I couldn't wait to recieve this game, but when I tried the game, I wasn't as excited as I was in the store. The graphics are lousy, the sound is crackly, and the whole game is just bad. You run out of money when you first start the game, you can't move around as easily as you can in other simulated games like Sim City 4 or related games, and things don't appear for a really loooong time. It's a waste--do NOT buy this game--you will seriously regret it.

Alot of People dont like it because you have to wait....

This game i enjoy, but dont think it is the best in the world. You pretty much play with someone elses mall or build your own. ( i suggest building your own!) And you pick the carpet walls size of your store and what you put in side of it. You can add scenery and research diffrent things like events for your mall and stuff. You also can download Janitors and cops to catch punks. Then you pretty much open your mall and people buy things in it and you try to become rich. When you play in someone elses mall you have a job to do, And you try to beat it. I whould not recomend this game for 10- and daown.( it can be very confusing) But older people might get really bored of it.
