Fun and exciting

This game is sooo much fun. But please explain to me what the levels mean for my character when I check under assets. (AP, ST, SP) Also, how do I know whether or not my cow is pregnant. Nothing gives me any indication not to mention I do not own a bull yet. I keep giving her animal medicine, but the cow levels keep going down. What can i do to stop it? These things are not in the manuel. None-the-less, I'm growing crops and trying to make friends. I play this game for at least 8 hours each time.

I've been an avid fan of the HM series ever since I first played the first SNES one, what, ten years ago? They're all very addicting, except this one. I thought this would be an excellent game, but I simply cannot get into it. Because, during the time that the game isn't LOADING, all movement is soooo sloooooooowwwwwwww. The scenery is at least.. slightly pretty? Not really. Everything looks so dingy, the colours have barely any saturation.
Gameplay, apart from being so very slow, as far as I can tell is also confusing, because it confused me and I'm usually a fast learner. Initially I thought the "special edition" would be the girl's version, where you play the girl and marry one of the guys in town... but I honestly can't find what's special about this 'edition.' Judging by how slow it is, maybe they just meant.. "special."

I DONT HAVE IT I WANT IT MY FRIEND HAS IT! =)

My friend is a SOPHOMORE in high school and she and her friends looove this game! Im gonna try it and if I like it buy it!! Yayayayay!

well it looks like ps2 messed this game up bigtime... the reviews here dont lie... all the game does everytime you "open a door" is load...
i got the verry same game on gamecube and it is waaay better than this peace of junk! dont waste your money!

This game is very fun!

Harvest Moon - Special edition is a very fun game to play. You take on the role of being a farmer, convincing a girl to marry you, things like that. So if you want to have fun with a harvest moon game, buy it!
there is just one thing i'd like to say. i saw that someone put questions as a review, and asked not to vote. CAN ANY OF YOU READ?!?!!!! 6 people voted that it wasnt helpful. sure, it isnt, because it's just questions, but that person just asked not to vote, because there was no need to.
anyway, this game is a good game.

1. What is the gender of the person you play in the game?
2. Is there any mission in the game (like Save the Homeland)?
3. What animals can you own?
4. Are the graphics good?

I don't have this game yet, but I want it. Even though I want to have the girls version, I only have a PS2 and a Nintendo 64. I'm glad they actually have 2 PS2 games for Harvest Moon! I only have 2 of the Hrvest Moon games. I'm totally getting this game as soon as posibal! Even if I spelled that wrong! Look out people, Here I come!

does anyone know if it is a blue disk?

my playstation is the older model therfore it want play the cheaply made blue disks so could the next person writing a eaview check the disk to see if its a silver or a blue disk?beacaes harvest moon save the homeland was a blue disk as well any information would be very helpful-concerning the game itself its a well done game very fun even for older players raising farm animals planting crops etc.
