I bought this game because the box caught my eye -and I don't regret it. I haven't had any of the technical problems that some people have complained about and the game provides a lot of amusement and challenge. Building a hotel, making sure it has all the amenities and trying to keep your guests happy (as well as trying to lure in the unsuspecting passer-by) It's never the same twice. It's different from the Sims in that you don't control what people are doing. My only complaint, is that the furniture selection is extremely limited and there are no complete furniture sets (so sometimes your rooms just don't look quite right...) Other than that, the game is a lot of fun.

Fun for about three days

Well, I LOVE these types of games. And while this game has great graphics and a really cool concept... I found it just wasn't fun to play after a few days. It's insanely difficult to progress, and it so time consuming.

If you like the Sims, it's worth a shot. Just realize that it doesn't have the "staying power" that the Sims does.

Sigh... yawn... sigh

Sims gone WAY too slow, without the control of the sims. I do love simulation games, but this has got to be the slowest sim game to start. You will spend a lot of time building rooms, mostly while paused. I would spend 4 hours on layout, realise I've spent so much time on it and never get around to playing much after opening the hotel.
Now, if you like building hotel rooms, boy is this the game for you. Having not played the 20 or so hours it takes to finish even one scenerio, I can't comment on how easy or hard it is to complete a level... really, I'd just lose interest after hour 12 of gameplay.
This is definately a game for someone that has absolutely NO life outside of sim gaming.
Graphically, I liked it. You get so many options for walls, floors, lighting, layout, ammenities and pricing it's a wonder that I disliked it so much. :(

When I first got this game I couldn't wait to play it. It is a really fun game to play if you like hotels. It is very realistic and the graphics are great. You get to watch your guests and see what they do in your hotel. There are also places you could build like swimming pools, restaurants, bars, meeting rooms, etc. One thing that you can't do that got me mad is that you can't hire maids. Also, when you want to build a hotel in a certain city, it only offers you one at a time. It is still a great game and I suggest that you buy it if you like these kind of games.

THis game is for people that have great interest in the field of hospitality. I'm also in the hospitality industrial, therefore this game is a great experience for me. this game is also fun for other people as well as you'll enjoy the strategy behind hotel operation. This game is more of a kick back ,have a cup of coffee and camp.

B-O-R-I-N-G.

That pretty much says it all about this game. I've been trying to think of at least some redeeming qualities to this game for those who enjoy its premise, but sadly there are none.

Sure you can design rooms and kitchens, bars, game rooms and meeting rooms, but that's about all there is to it. There's none of the snappy humor you get in other SIM games; and the customers are whiny about every detail from not buying THE most expensive sink in the public restrooms, to not being on THE most expensive chairs in the restaurant.

Even the "challenge" levels are quite dull. It's definately not the game I was expecting. ...

It's Bad

This game stinks. I thought with all the good reviews that it would be good but it wasn't. When I first started playing it I thoght it was really cool but it got boring really quick. It is to hard to get people in your facilitys and even if you get people in them they don't make money. Once you do start to make money you try to expand your hotel and you go bankrupt. I WOULD NOT reccomend any one to buy this product because it is a waste of money.

Hard to start, not bad when you get it started though

The game has difficulty starting. Judging by their tech support website it's a common problem that was never adequately fixed. Some people were never able to get the game running. There is a patch you can install to help that. I manage to get the game running in 1-2 out of every 10 attempts now since installing the patch.

The game itself is pretty enjoyable though. It gets a little tedious and while you can decorate different types of rooms, the objects are very limited. There are a variety of scenarios with differerent objectives that are fun to try out.

I'm a long time Sim player and when a new game was out like the Sims I jump at it.Graphics are good but it's harder to play then the sims. The tutorial doesn't help all that much.Stick with the Sims.
