terrible game

its a bad game so dont waste your money in buying it. maybe rent it but dont buy it. i bought it thinking it might be like rouge squadren but not at all like it. its kind of hard and not very fun.

I just bought my Playstation2 yesterday(I know what took so long, but it hard to buy anything overseas)nayway I had high hope that my first game was going to rock dude. But nooooooooo I had to buy Star Wars. Maybe I'm being mean and jumping to conclusions but it really does suck. The controls are just trouble and the graphic are playstation1 level. All I can ask is why me Lord.

Here we go I here some peepz dont like this game because it is not 2 player, well im a big time gamer and I have hookups to get codes for all games, all you have to do is beat all 14 levels with a gold medal and you open up a secret huh whats this the secret you open up is multiplayer mode, so don't dislike the cool game just because you think its one player, just sit back relax and beat the game, and there you go here is the answer to all of your questions, the other games that I own that are good are Smugglers Run, SSX Snowboarding, and Shootout 2001, laterz.

Although i just recently purchased this game, the graphics and realism are awesome! even if you are not a star wars fan, this game is great. the missions are real the grapics are amazing, and the ships, characters, and stroylines are great. I reccomend this game to anybody with the Playstation 2 Console.

If you played the prevoious starwars games this one is the best out of all of them. The graphics are great. This game is difficult. BUY THIS GAME NOW!

this game ownz. let me tell you why...

i haven't progressed past the second mission yet, but i'm already in love with this game. this is the first game i've seen that realistically portrays what it would be like to manuver a craft in outerspace. the graphics are amazing, and the HUD is minimal and pleasing to the eye. it doesn't take very long to get used to the controls, but it does take a little while to become accustomed to 3/4 dimensional steering in space. i highly recommend this for graphics and flying gameplay

Colony Wars Meets TIE Fighter

Starfighter is a rapid-fire, arcade-shooter style game; it has plenty of missions, each with a lot of replay value, but the game has little depth. While the gameplay is solid, it has nowhere near the obsessive qualities of SSX...

In short, it deserves a purchase but will be kept near the middle of the stack.

Good graphics, frustrating gameplay

This game looks and sounds great, and it's great to be in the Star Wars universe. But the controls are very difficult and it's very confusing and frustrating trying to figure out what is going on. I am still stuck on the first "real" mission which I cannot complete, even on easy mode. There is almost no way to make precise adjustments with the usual control; perhaps some sort of flight stick would be better. When you do get lost the game does very little to help you figure out how to get back in it other than barking useless orders. Notice how many copies are for sale--don't waste your money.

I mean jeez the view sucs evn though you can change it,but when you do change it it feels like worse control,good graphics,ok gameplay,but really gets boring,if your into star wars, for the love of god dont get this.

I think they should have made the game a little more better. The graphics are good, the gameplay is alright, the sound is awsome, but the controls i really dont like that much.I dont think this game is worth buying unless your a huge Star Wars fan. Rent it first and see how good it is.
