I'm a racing fan, and star wars fan, so i rented this. I did not like it, but i played it a few years ago so i have no memories on this game. I do remember that the levels were filled with junk and the sense of speed was fast, so all you did was hit stuff. I did not like it.

Star Wars Deserves Better...

I bought this game because I am a fan of Star Wars, and I love multi-player racing games. This game does not have the features required to stay entertaining long enough. Sure it would be a great rental, something different to enjoy for an evening, but afterwards it becomes monotonous.

There really isn't anything to work up to while playing this game. Basically, the tracks do not add enough entertainment, and power-ups become nearly pointless in this game. I truly think the animations and the look of the game is great! Still, it is too simplistic of a game concept without an innovative racing system to catch my interest long enough. I happened to enjoy Star Wars Podracing for the Nintendo-64 a lot better.

I should've known better not to buy this just because it was a Star Wars games. I guess Star Wars games can be poor too. Game features seemed to be cut too short to even captivate interest long enough.

Pros: Simple to understand
Great graphics
Neat adaption of Star Wars character design

Cons: Not fun for long
Way too generic

I'd rather play Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash, or even Star Wars Podracing before this game.

Great to try and play for a while. Boring to play for long.

When you think of Super Bombad Racing, think Mario Kart ... but instead of little cars, you have cool little Star Wars ships. And the drivers are the various characters - with giant heads! It is TOO cute, and great fun.

There are the regular race courses, where you learn how to drive each character. They're all a bit different from each other, with their own strengths and weaknesses. Try to get through all the courses to unlock secret options and characters.

Like most of these games, though, it really gets fun when you bring on another human. Suddenly you've got a little Darth Maul chasing after a little Yoda, blasting away! With four players it gets even more hilarious.

A relatively short game on the single-player side, but endless fun with friends and family!

Fun with great animation.

This game is fun and has some killer animation! I have to say the oversized heads on the Star Wars characters are hilarious! My favorite is Darth Maul. This is a fun cart style game based on the Star Wars Episode I movie with most of the main characters in it (minus Kwai Gon Gin - of course I can't seem to spell this charaters name today! Too much coffee maybe!!) and scenes from the movie as well.

This is a fun game, but I do not recommend playing this game if you have any hand problems such as carpal tunnel as you are constantly pressing on the "x" button to make the carts go and using the toggle stick to steer the carts and it can be very sressful and tiring on your hands.

If you are a Star Wars fan or know someone, this would be a good game to get. It's a little on the pricey side but you can always shop around. Even at the high price it is still a fun game. If you have a local place that will rent the game, I would go that route first to see how the game is place, handles, etc., then purchase it if you truly enjoy it.

Super Bombad Racing for the Playsattion 2 is a incredibly good game. It`s graphics are really bad though. All the tracks are confusing at first, but when you play a few times, it gets better and better. You get to pick form 8 caracthers. There is also a secret caracther who you will race to unlock. This game is also a big headed cart racing game. You should buy it.

Not What I Wanted

Super Mario Kart tended to dominate the N64 as the best multiplayer game. So I've been waiting and watching the kart racing games for the PS2 hoping to find one that will give the same level of fun. Unfortunately, Super Bombad Racer falls short.

Remember that kart-racing games are suppose to be fun and childish, so the cartoonish characters with large heads and silly taunts are up the right alley. The large number of special items (forward weapons, backward weapons, boosts, shields, etc.) adds a good level of playability to the game, unfortunately with a bunch of racers everyone is shooting everyone all the time and there's no real strategy involved.

The controls for the game are also very loose. It takes a lot of getting used to as you bounce all over the place and can't make the tight turns you'd like to. The levels are relatively simple and there's not a lot you can do to improve your racing ability on them.

You'll probably play through all 9 nine of the levels in about an hour and then wonder what you're suppose to do. The game quickly looses its enjoyment in single player mode. Luckily there's multi-player mode to come to the rescue and this game is good fun with a bunch of people. Still, I've found after running through the levels a couple times with friends, there's just not a lot of joy to it.

Even battle mode has issues. With so many hit-you-from-across-the-screen-automatically weapons there isn't much skill required. You just need to know where on the level the good weapons can be found and hope your opponents don't. And on some levels, Yoda-who can damage everyone with his special item-can just sit out of the way and slowly take everyone out.

Overall, this is a fun game for a little while, but is likely to sit on your shelf except when you have friends over. It's probably better to save your money and wait for that great kart-racing game to come out for the PS2.

I was looking for a good multi-plyaer game for my friends and I to play. This game was a huge let down. It just was not fun to play. It was boring. We played a few games and then gave up on it. I have not touched it since.

fast, fun, lots of weapons, nice characters, cool levels, etc

what is better than a racing game with good characters, like darth maul, anakin, jar jar binks, etc. cool levels, like podracer track, lots of weapons, and a fast and fun game? nothing, just four controlers and four friends enjoying this cool game. Well, this game is funny, cool, and fantastic, problably the best space ship racing gaming for the ps2, but there is a problem: very confusing and too patheticly wierd. When you crash just a bit, you ship starts spinning, what the hell is that? and worst of all the graphics are messy so you can't se very well. What can i say, like collecting star wars games? problably you will like this game, but if you hate messy and star wars games, don't buy this game.

What the?

Geez! Who knew Bombad Racing was gonna have deformed heads? This game is pure geneus! If you have 50 bucks on your hands, get this game and hear the laughs you'll get! Kids AND grown-ups, you'll have a super bombad time playing this. And while you're at it, why don't ya blast Jar-Jar Binks into oblivion!
