Absolutely fantastic - pushes RTS games into new dimensions.

This is one of the most flawless and engrossing executions of the RTS genre I have seen in a long time. Superb graphics and music, outrageous dinosaur units, a tremendous variety of units, upgrades, special attacks.

This one has it all, and with 3 full single player campaigns it has the replayability that few games can match.

AN EXCELLENT PREHISTORIC RTS!

The RTS genre has yet to be saturated. Nevertheless, it had been getting repetitive and stale lately. PARAWORLD was a breath of fresh air and it is a VERY FUN game to play!

You are thrown into a world where dinosaurs roam the land and different tribes wage war on each other for the control of resources (wood, rock and food). Each of the three tribes have distinctly units and buildings - and their own tamed dinosaurs. Mounted rhinos, war-mammoths, prehistoric...steam-warships, guarding water-snakes - the list of original ideas is endless!
What has to be mentioned is that playing each different faction does not convey the feeling that you are replaying the same over and over - only with different colors. One tribe has stronger buildings yet weaker units; the other has more dinosaurs yet its fortifications are easily overrun. On top of that, they are all beautifully balanced.

Graphically the game is very well made. Units look and move in a very realistic way, the environmental elements (grass, trees and water) have been nicely rendered - all in all, an impressively looking game.

I picked this for a song - but that is the fate of any game sporting an idiotic protection scheme. The are bin fodder before the year is out. PARAWORLD uses STARFORCE - hence the star withheld. A pity, such a great game to be shot in the foot by its own publisher.

If you are boycotting STARFORCE games be warned. Otherwise,

RECOMMENDED!

Very Refined RTS Style Game

Warning right now, if you know me, I am biased ... but I will share anyway.

I have loved this style RTS since the first Warcraft. Originally Westwoods, now EAs, C&C series is another favorite. I was a rabid fan of Bungies MythI and MythII until the sellout. Starcraft was brilliantly executed. I think this game eclipes each of these mentioned in everyway except network play. The solo game storyline is gripping and fun. The voice acting is top-of-the line. The score and soundtrack is one of the best in gaming to date. Just a little cherry for the top, but you have a worldclass 60 second cinematic that opens this game you will want to watch a minmum of 10 times.

So if more people get this and get more net games up active ... there is no denying it in any category.

This game, can make you stand in awe as you watch a game so inventive and great, that it seems as one of the greatest games of all time. The game includes special feats that you and your team can accomplish. This game also includes over 50 different beasts, inlcluding T-rex, Allosaurus, and much, much more! Who says games can't be this good? Try Paraworld out and find out for yourself! I have, and that is why I have rated it a 5.

Good game overall. Nice RTS game with good graphics. Worst part is that you are limited in unit building so you need to be careful in building only a few workers and more military units. Would recommend b/c of its low price and good over quality.

Fun at a low price

I saw this product selling for $5 the other day, but it's as much fun as any $30 RTS. It combines smart AI for worker units to allow you to take your attention off resource gathering with stunning graphics. It is truly beautiful to watch, and awe-inspiring to play; prehistoric units are anatomically correct and everything moves realistically. With a campign mode that runs like an adventure movie and skirmish battles for those wanting to get into the action immediately, this is one of the best RTSs for the PC that I have ever played

I purchased "Paraworld" while waiting for another of this company's games to be released ("1701 AD"). I have not really played "Paraworld" very much, particularly since I got 1701, but what I have seen is entertaining with good graphics. I love Sunflower games and have been hooked since "1602 AD." (The game, not the year. Despite what my children say, I am not that old.}
