Phantasy Star Online: Addicting, fun, and ONLINE

First of all I would like to say that PSO for Dreamcast was one of, if not THE best, games of all time. It was addicting (I myself had played for over 70 hours all together), fun, and best of all online.
Now it's on Gamecube; a 2-disc set. Episode 1 features are the same as the DC versions, but Episode 2 is a whole new story with more levels, characters, weapons, and a whole lot more. Sega and Nintendo even give you one month free hunter's license (what you need to get online). How cool is that? If you get this game you will not regret it.

Since my parents wont let me get an account this review is based on the offline play.
First of all this game is VERY, VERY monotonous. Monsters are repeated very, very much. The designers got so obsessed with a monster they made like about 7 types of that monster, and the only thing that varied the types were the color and size. Also there aren't many different monsters in the game.
Also, most of episode 1 takes place underground; underground mines, caves and ruins. And at each place the same freaking rooms are repeated over and over again.
The game play at first is OK, as well as the weapons, character types (well balanced) and character creation. But this game will bore you in a week or two, that is if you don't play it so often.
It has the same graphics as the dreamcast version.

It looks good, i have seen a video or 2. The dreamcast version was cool no.... extreamly cool. And incase any one wondered PSO GC wont have any cheats because the disks for the GC are copyrighted to nintendo so no one can make disks for it :)

Come on People it is the same thing over and over again!

Alright this game is one thing you going through a world that is not that huge and shoot run shoot run, the enemys that come up in the same place over and over again this game is NOT a RPG at all and there is no posible way you can say that it is, it is a adventure game, there is mention of a story at the start but through the level's (the orignal dreamcast one has only 4) You hear nothing at all about the story except from thies little kiosk things and even that is like "our ship crasted we were stranded" all and all if you can do the same thing over and over agin and have fun then you might like the game, the only reson I gave this two stars is because it is fun for about 3 weeks, then you wake up, but just dont fall into the hype people who want a RPG for GC this is not one in the lest bit, you are looking at a pure hak and slash. Granted I have only played the Dreamcast version, but from my understanding they are not changing much, or adding a story.

bad, no no no no no!!!!

Do not get this game!!! Very very boring. Battling is painfully unrealistic and stupid. Takes forever to gain levels.
Every aspect of this game is disappointing.

Its comming to Xbox too.

Just wait till Phantasy Star comes to the Xbox. The release dates will be very close (if not the same), but the Xbox version will be much much better. Not just the better graphics and sleaker controls, but the fact that voice chat and faster online gameplay, thanks to Xbox's broadband, will add a better experience to the whole world of Phantasy Star.
