the best part is brand new stuff like the a-wing, a "unique" rebel air unit, the tantive 4, the imperial star destroyer, and the death star! and yes, it really can blow everything up.

Age of Empires:Clone Campaigns

Although Age of Empires is not the greatest game in my opinion, StarWars Galactic Battle Grounds is close. Coming in third after Final Fantasy and Starcraft of course. You build lots of buildings and lots of troops in a mix of Starcraft and Age of Empires. 80% Age of Empires. This exansion pack just adds on some great new stuff to play with. Re kindling my passion for the game.

MUST HAVE EXPANSION PACK

If you have star wars galactic battlegrounds and are tired of the same thing you shoukd buy this pack first of all you have new reserch upgrades also new mechs and troops also 2 new civilazations galatic republic and the confederacy. some examples of some of the improvements are you can make controlable predeters (only confederacy can do this) see in episode 2 the stadium battle sequence. also you can make power droids to move where power is needed also a major imporvement is the now ship you can make at the fortresses these ship a super powerful and count as 2 persons on you soilder count they destroy every ground troop within a certian area including you own troop so be careful also they balanced the game more so certan troops are less effective then they were in the frist bounty hunters don't kill jedi as easy and air craft don't kill anti aircraft troop as easy. some down fall about this game is it still takes about 3 hr to finsh a skermish also I thought it would be more new thing than it really has but all in all its a solid expansion and it worth your money if you are a fan of the first so I give it 5 stars.

A team of ewoks haha. Maybe they can win by the other team being sympathetic by the ewoks throwing pebbles at them.

I got this game and it only has two new teams and when you start the game all of your old levels you have beat are gone. You have to beat them all over again. But your scerinos are still there which is good. But they have many new upgrades but there all a waste of time. When you buy the original game you get 6 teams for 40 bucks and you get the new game for 30 bucks and there are only two teams. And there are teams they could make on this game that they didnt such as ewoks, jawas, and tuskin raiders. If I were you i would save my money and buy a better star wars game.

Expensive Patch

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 0 / 1

After thoroughly enjoying SWGB, I must say that I am sorely disappointed with the expansion. The bulk of the changes are balance issues, things that other publishers (e.g. Blizzard) provide with a free patch.
The missions are disappointing as well. Three of the missions are introductory and basic, which makes them seem pointless after completing the forty-odd missions from base game. Almost all of the missions are linear, eliminating the need for any kind of tactical thinking. Also, the cartoonish depiction of the hero in the Republic battles gave me the impression that this was a hasty project for the developers.
The new units were intriguing and fun. The emphasis on Jedi forced me to use a component of the game that I hadn't played much previously. I honestly didn't notice much change in the environments, though--they just seemed to be slight variations of those from the base module except for one (Sarapin). And I definitely didn't feel that the soundtrack was changed in any way.
While not without some worthwhile qualities, Clone Campaigns is just too expensive for what it delivers. Perhaps for multi-player this is a must have, but for single players it just is not worth the price.
