The worst game ever!! Everybody just folds if you bet 40 chips or over. You never can go all in they fold no matter what they have.

This game is so full of bugs. I get a full house and 2 pairs wins. This is a constant problem, I have the winning hand and it awards the win to a computer player. It cant seem to add the winning pots to me right and it has NO all in button. You have to spend 5 min. using the + button to go all in. The kicker is that u need $50,000 to move to the next room. If i have 7500 and i quit the game the next time i play i get my 7500 but each of the computer players get 5000 each time u quit and play again. How are u suppose to get $50000 when u cant wittle down the players who always start with 5000?

AWEFUL POKER GAME

Both my wife and I are really getting into No Limit Texas Hold 'Em. She has even been to plenty of Girls Night Out where they've held these poker tournaments (just for fun of course). So I thought it would be a nice idea to get a game for the PC. I saw this at the store and thought it would be a nice gift for the wife. It was one of the more expensive ones on the shelf so I figured it must be halfway decent ... bad assumption. The play is incredibly slow! I keep thinking that there must be some undocumented short cut keys to speed up play when you fold. Haven't found anything yet. Oh, did I mention that the help is non-existent. There's no online help or even any help files on the CD. The commentary on the game is very, very annoying ... so much so that I quickly found myself finding a way to mute it (at least they allow you to do that). There is no way that I found where we could increase the blinds to help speed up play and make the game a little more exciting. The characters are amuzing to look at when you first start but they do the same thing over and over again. The first game you play, you'll realize that it is soooo easy to bluff everyone that it's easy to get ahead of the other computer players. The problem is that you can only bet small amounts otherwise they all fold making the play very slow.

I wish I took some time to look up some reviews before I bought this SW. It has by far been the worst SW buy I have ever made. My opinion - don't buy this product!

DON'T DO IT !!

As tempting as this game might seem (especially as the low price) do not get suckered into buying this game as it truely is awful. Slow, buggy and can't even go all in other than clicking your chips in one by one (boy that's fun)

I am writing to save others the frustration. If you still want to throw a little money away, buy some bum on the street a McD's happy meal. It'll be money better spent.

Wow, it's been a looong time since I've seen a program this bad. Where do I start? The only two options in the game are to turn the music or sound effects off. It's slow. When you fold, you are forced to watch each of the other players appear on the screen and makee their plays. The "play by play" gets old after two or three hands, since there are only maybe half a dozen comments to be replated ad nauseum. Read the other reviews and STAY AWAY!

Bad game. Between not being able to raise from the Big Blind to it calling winning hands wrong, I would venture to say one of the worst poker games ever made.

worst product ever

The inside cover might make the game look good, and along with the low price, it seemed to be a good deal. But don't let it fool you. The game is awful. The characters look stupid and theres countless amount of bugs that go with it. If you raise, they'll fold, so its almost impossible to get to the next level. Go spend your money elsewhere, this game should be deemed "Worst Game Ever."

Waste of money

Cheezy game with easy opponents. I don't think the creators bothered to play the game as they tested the features:

- No skill level selection

No limit holdem -
- If you fold, you have to watch the hand play out - painfully slowly - cannot skip to end and also if you are diligent to study the players, their betting amounts are not displayed

- No incremental bets or all in. I got to $4 million and an all in bet means holding down the + key for over 5 minutes.

I tried 5 card draw for 2 hands. They dont even tell you how many cards your opponents discarded! What a joke!!!!

A Dissenting Review

I beg to differ with most reviews proffered so far as I am reaping tremendous enjoyment from my purchase of this game. While it may not meet each person's personal expectations, I believe that there is a lot to be gained based on your objective.
One reviewer complained about not being able to move up to a higher level as he wishes, but the game is designed such that one has to accumulate a certain amount of dollars in a lower level casino before one can move up to a higer level casino. If the reviewer perceives himself as the expert that he proclaims, this should not be a problem. But his obvious frustration is that he wants to move to a higer casino level but is unable to acquire the $50,000 required in a lower level casino. This is no fault of the game. While a preferrable design for most people would be to select their playing level at random, the current design compels one to play as many games as is necessary to acquire the the money, hence honed expertise, to move up to the next level. Some would see this as a virtue.
According to another reviewer, he can dominate the game by going all-in, $50,000, in a $5 / $10 blinds game. This is an obvious anomaly in the game, however, even if this were a live poker game with such inane bets, the reviewer might get close to the same result as he is with this game. I too recognized this anomaly, but found that making reasonable bets is a prudent option.
At any rate, this is not a game I would recommend to Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey, ..., for obvious reasons. But if you seek a game for your personal enjoyment, honing of skills, etc, for such modest price, there is not much here to criticize.

This game is the worstest worst ever in the whole entire world. If you want to have more fun, go buy "Combat" for the Atari 2600. Now THAT'S fun. Especially the one where your opponent gets to be the 3 little planes and you are the one ridiculously huge plane.
