Mostly Nothing

I don't know if the cd was defective or not but I've never had a game that crashed as much as this one. The story line wasn't that good either. Maybe because I was so frustrated with trying to keep it up and running that I couldn't consentrate on the story. I'm giving it a 2 star because I liked the other Law & Order games. Ho Hum, maybe next time.

Too slow

When you get stuck and think you've done everything you need to do, there is no help button to get a clue and keep going. I got about 3/4 through it and gave up because it was too time consuming to keep trying the same old things over and over.

I loved the game, but when you get stuck, you stay stuck.

Great 2nd Game for The L&O PC Series!!

First off, let us get the bad done with. In the courtroom, yes, there are a few flaws.. but nothing that would make me take a star off of my rating.
p.s. I have yet to review Law & order- Justice is served because i havent finished it yet.

The storyline is very good and in my opinion a little more complex than the first one, it has great fun gameplay, and suspicious characters. More complex extra stories too, that are crucial to the game but have nothing to do with the murderer and finish of the game, it is a great game just like the first one AND like the third one Justice is Served, like i said before you dont even have to like the TV show, (since I dont) the games are fun!! So Buy Them All!!!

Great plot! Some flaws, as noted previously!

The plot is quite interesting. It is very unlikely that you would find this story on tv so it was certainly more fun for gameplay. The flaws I encountered were in the courtroom. I could not complete the Q&A on about 3-4 important witnesses. The CD just spun and spun -- all I could do was indicate "done with witness". Also, I did not like the "expertise" part of the game, at the beginning, that relates to how the game operates -- the outcome of the answers to those questions is unknown at that point.

This game is a thriller if you are a Law and Order fan you'll love it. There are many plot twists and climaxes in the game. And the best part is, you never know what's gonna happen.

Don't bother trying to play this game on a laptop -- it never started on mine (a new, high-end dell). I checked the tech support board for legacy interactive and it seems other people have the same problem. Extremely frustrating.

I hesitated to buy "Double or Nothing" becuase I had purchased the first L&O and was very disappointed. Luckily, I got this one at a discount price. I am tired of games that do the work for me. I get to hunt for clues with my mouse but when I find them, I do not get investigate them or make any suppositions about them. That's all done by my helpful partner. Why does he get to have all the fun? Why not give me the opportunity to decide if this is possibly a useful item? There are no real puzzles, all of the questions are spoon-fed to you (even when you do not select that "skill" in the beginning and the game is too short and too predictible. The only good thing about it is that there was no time limit as in the first game. These two games together are so bad that I will never buy another L&O game, ever. I've said the same about the CSI games. I guess you can't blame the makers for wanting to cash-in on the popularity of these shows, but you do no justice whatsoever to the cast, writers and the image of the show. Please, in the name of all that is good, stop making these games.

The Biggest Bust Ever!

This game was the biggest waste of twenty bucks I have ever spent in my life. The gameplay was insanly easy and I finished the game in under six hours. After that, you don't get any more cases to solve. That is it. Two days of light playing and it goes to the road side. If you want any value for your money, go pick up a copy of anything but this. I will never buy a Legacy Interactive product again in my life.

Law and Order: Double the Fun

Being a big fan of the TV show, I was psyched when I finally bought this game. I couldn't wait to play it. I had a great time interviewing the suspects, following the leads, submitting search warrants, and finally making an arrest. The trial, part II, was much more difficult. On my first try, the defense was objecting to almost everything I said, and I got to excited and did the same to them. It took me several tries to get a guilty verdict, and there is one major key to sucess. WATCH THE CUT-SCENES, or you will undoubtedly fail. The game pretty much resembles the show, although you don't get to make the closing arguments, they are automatic based on what evidence and witnesses you have presented. Overall, tricky, too single-threaded, but great game. A+
