Really great

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 3

This is really way better than the excellent original. Vanna , I think is actually better looking in this one.

I just received this as a gift, and my concern is that the recently released WOF 2003(purchased last spring) is basically the same game. Well, at least if the 2500 puzzles are different.

Comparing vol. 2 and '03; Some of the bonus prizes are different, and of course, Vanna now wears a red dress (2003), really different is the opening sequence. Look quick , and you'll see Pat and Vanna in a hot tub together. blink, you'll miss it.

Agree, it does play slightly slow, but not overly so.

Atari, (or whom ever) should really try to upgrade there game to incorporate some of the features of the current TV show (one of our favorites) into the next CD ROM. Like the preliminary lightening rounds, and the selection of bonus prizes (spin the bonus wheel--Cars, cash, upto $100 THOUowowow-SAND Dollars!.

Agree, who needs Pat Sajak anyway? Vanna does the better

Upside: Solo play is tough, overwall level is more difficult than watching it on TV and playing along with the actual show.

As an aside, my wife gave me this for an Anniversary gift, after wondering what to buy for me. Her last words where that I had too many computer games, (mostly slots, table, board, and arcade games). I was surprised, and she almost got mad when I commented on whether or not it was the same as WOF 2003 (different package and maker, Atari instead of Hasbro or infogames. (Actually all the same company.) When I assured her, by running it that it was not, everything was well again. I think the reason she got it for me, is that our 2 year old son , she thinks may have messed up my WOF '03 game,

Again, if the 03 game has different puzzles than this, all will really be great; and besides, and probably most important, the Missus feels that this is more educatational than the dozen or so slots and casino, and card games that I already have. although he enjoys helping me play them.
