Don't expect 'microsoft CFS2'...

I was bored. I felt like something cheap, easy, and relaxing. And BPHPW was certainly that-at first. Before I get ahead of myself, though, let me say that I have at least 10 flight sims, am a veteran, and can whup anybody at CFS2. BPHPW is a game that probably took about five minutes to put together. Well, maybe a little longer. But it's still a simply made game. Also, it is so unrealistic that you could slap 'STAR WARS' on it and not know the difference. There are no stalls, you always have unlimited gun ammo, the secondary weapons are space age (i.e., guided missiles, super lasers, etc.), the boss levels are bizarre, and you always have unlimited fuel. There are 25 levels in all, but you can only save your game every 5 levels. In the later missions this means if you lose all 3 of your lives (more unrealisticness) you have to go back to your previous save point. The missions in this game are always ground missions (you can only go to a certain hight) with supporting aircraft you have to take out. You never have any wingman, and the odds are so ludicrous that you wonder if your commanders just don't like you. But usually this is no cause for worry, because the plane AI is about two IQ points above an eggplant. Since their only method of attack is attacking your six, they'll constantly be following you. However, if a mountain perchance gets between you and them, they will just plow into it instead of going over it.
As for glitches, on startup the load bar on the screen might be full, but nothing happens. I solve this by pressing CTRL + Alt +DEL and then clicking cancel. This gets the game started. Also, your computer might crash to desktop when clicking on 'THEME 2'. To avoid this, click on 'THEME 1' first, then exit it, then click on 'Theme 2'. These are the only two problems I had with this game.
In conclusion, this is a short, cheap, and fun sort of game. The graphics are okay, and this provides a nice breather for those of you who are sick of hard, SERIOUS flight sims, this being pure action.
One last word of warning...watch when you turn. Enemy fighters are like missiles, they home in on you and won't turn away to avoid collision. All the lives I lost on this game occured when I turned to quickly and collided head on with a Jap.

Surprised !!

I paid $ for this game...one of those which looked interesting, but figured was just a "joke"....while anyway, it turned out to be plenty of fun...an arcade game with 5 levels and a few missions in each level...graphic's are average at best, but gameplay makes up for the graphic's...It was one of those rare times which I was pleasantly surprised...It's no "Command and Generals" but, what the heck.... $ for 30 minutes of good arcade is not bad...

To me this game is a lot of fun. It is very challenging because it has 5 phases and at least 4 or 5 sublevels in each one. In each phase you get a different type of airplane and many different types of weapons including 2 different speed machine guns, missiles, torpedoes, glow guns, and the like. Enemy planes are not easy to hit but this makes it challenging. You have to lead them and your bullets curve with the wind. Land targets and ships are not too difficult but they are constantly shooting at you. I have only made it to phase 2 and it took me an hour. I would rate myself a fair player so there seems to be plenty of game to challenge a good player. Enemy planes and ships look good when they explode with fire and then sink or crash. The chatter of the pilot is kind of humorous. He says things like "I got you ,you son of a ------" and "I live for the pain". No bad words, only suggestions like "What the----". Dont buy this game if you want one you can conquer in 5 minutes but do buy it if you want a challenge--at least for a fair player like me.
