Great game but a little hard

This game is fun.I brought it recently so i dident finish it yet but i can tell it will be great.I only played a few hours but it is so fun.Its a little tough though.Even after playing for a few hours i thouht i was finished. Some points seem impossible and require thinking.I thought it was stupid when it said some points seem impossible but there is always a way out but its true.Gameplay is fun and quick. The grahics are fairly good but not perfect. And unlike some games its not at all annoying carrying all four at one time. There are some cool things some players can do.I shall name some... both babys together can preform the baby drill together mario and luigi can roll into a ball and then run over the babies making them flat so that they can fly on the wind
mario and luigi can do a spinning move that lets them fly (P.S if they are flying and meet the babies the babies will mimic them and fly up.) There are other actions but i wont write them cause the list of actions will be loooooooong. Now ill go to figting. The basic fight moves are jump and hammer. There are also bros items which you need 2 or all 4 people to use. There is a shopping place where you can buy things that are rare and commen.Overall this game is great and worth the money so go out and but 1 for yourself!!!

Well, this is it

This is it. The game that proves the mettle of the DS. This is the first full-fledged adventure for the system, the first game that doesn't rely on the DS' unique features to be great. In putting Superstar Saga's sequel on the new handheld, Nintendo has made it even better.

The gameplay you know and love (admit it) from the first game is perfectly intact. Only better. Now you control four brothers instead of just two, and it makes the sweet, sweet puzzles all the sweeter. Most of the moves you'll learn are all-new, and they challenge your brain in unique ways. Plus, the great battle system now makes you think even more; careful observation and quick reflexes are greatly rewarded. Another great addition to combat is the "Bros. Items". Far from a useless gimmick, they're absolutely essential, and fun to boot.

The dual screen really adds a lot to the game. A map now appears on the top screen during gameplay, cutscenes can now show two perspectives at once, and creative boss battles and puzzles require you to quickly glance back and forth between top and bottom. The touch screen is used a grand total of one time, but that doesn't matter.

I enjoyed the fun plot from the first game, but this one is in some ways even better! I found it a lot funnier than the first--the babies of Peach, Mario, Luigi and Bowser are hilarious, and the dual Toadsworths' dialogue had me in stitches. The text dialogue is wonderful, but perhaps even better are the scenes conveyed entirely through action and limited voice-acting.

I do have a couple complaints--the game's a bit short, and bosses seem to have way too much HP. But if you loved the first game, there is no excuse not to buy this, and if you haven't played the first, buy that and then get this. This is an incredible adventure for everyone to love.

The game has good graphics nice music and is hilarious gosh I nominate luigi for funniest idiot in the world because of this game.
If you try this game you'll never wnat to put it down but then your mom tells you to wash the dishes and the fun is over.

I am a adult woman that loves gameboy games. I have the new NintendoDS and have bought 3 games for it. One of them, the Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. This is a fun game. It is getting harder though. I also get a bit mixed up as to what buttons to push to control the baby Mario and Luigi.Seemed to take ages for me to beat Swiggler. Kept at it until my battery light came on red and I had to plug it in to finish, plus was almost late for work. But I did it! Now on to harder parts. But it is addicting and lots of fun. Maybe to hard for young children.

Excellent Rpg for the DS.

This game is for allkinds of gamers. This game is so fun but it is complicated. You have to fight with four mario bros. at once. Mario uses the A button, Luigi uses B, Baby MArio uses X, Baby Luigi Uses Y. Mario and Luigi Travel back in time and meet the younger versions of themselves and baby peach. They have to fight aliens who try to take over their kingdom. The game is really good. It has really sweet moves, the right amount of talking not too much and not too little. Sadly it is for one player. This game is for everybody you will not regret buying it.

Graphics 9/10
controls 8/10 (takes time to get used to each move)
Gameplay 10/10
Overall 9.5/10

The best DS game I've seen so far...

Bought this for my son's DS, and he played for 5 hours straight before he finally turned it off and came back to reality.

Without getting into the story itself (you can easily find that elsewhere), it is well designed with some tricky parts that won't make it too easy, but also not so difficult that you loose your interest.

Awesome Game!!!

I'm so glad I listened to the fine reviewers on Amazon and bought this game ... it was worth every penny and then some!! It has a lot of really great game play and I love how the babies are used in conjunction with the adults to accomplish various tasks. I feel like the game play is also very natural for the characters ... you wouldn't feel right about Mario and Luigi casting spells like the characters from Final Fantasy, but it's perfect to have them jumping and smashing with hammers and flinging turtle shells. And as weird as that sounds, it makes for a great RPG. Lots of good side-missions too, like collecting the beans. Wonderful game!!

Good times with old friends.

I love this game. Once I started playing I couldn't stop. My DS battery is dead after like 3 days I play so much. Once you get into the game it is really hard to stop playing. You get new moves and new weapons thus making the game new all the time. The controls are easy to learn and the story is easy to get into. So lets all tip our hats to nintendo and all there Mario greatness.

Love it!!!!

Partners in time, only time will tell

Mario and Luigi : Partners in time is a sequel to the hit game Mario and Luigi : superstar saga. In the game Superstar Saga the player has to control just two characters but in Partners in time the player has to control four characters, sometimes the four characters will spilt into pairs so the player has to control either the babies or the adults.

The game starts out with the player playing as the babies to direct them to the room where baby Peach is playing, to their suprise baby Peach isn't there but kidnapped by baby Bowser and baby Mario has to fight him.

The game at first is hard to get used to but once the buttons are comfortable the game becomes easier. There are good and bad things about the game. The good things are the following: The new character, Stuffwell, because he is very informative, the chance to control just the babies and adults, the Bros. items make a very good aid in the game, and the dual screens make the game more fun and exciting. The bad things are the following: Stuffwell stops the game progress to tell you something, and if the player uses a Bros. item like cannonballers the player can't touch the buttons until the Bros. get close to the enemy that the player is attacking.

I would recommend this to the players who like the Mario Bros. and a challengeing game.
