Confusing yet rewarding

First of all, this isn't as funny as they say. But, it is a very cool game. Think of it as Paper Mario: The Next Generation. I say this because it uses the "Action Button" system to let you cause more damage and block (sometimes completly avoid) enemy damage. It is confusing because in the overworld, you have to switch between Mario and Luigi, and, for example... The "A" button controls the one in front, "B" is vice-versa. Combat seems a bit strange untill you totally understtand. "A" always controls mario, and vice-versa with "B". Some words of advice; This rule always applies, even if one character is down or just absent. Luckilly, it starts out easy, but will get harder. I won't reveal the story, you can find that out yourself. Basicly, buy if you liked Paper Mario. And, well, you get it! Like I said in my Animal Crossing review, don't play it unless you enjoy games of this genre.

A whole new Mario game.

This game is pretty cool but what the heck is all this bull about it being a sequel to Paper Mario? This game has nothing to do with Paper Mario!

The real sequel to Paper Mario is called Paper Mario 2 and its gonna come out for gamecube, (...)

Anyway, this game is very good I just have 3 words:
What-the-heck? This game sooo confusing For example, you activate Mario's fire powers, opening a door. But to get through the room inside that door, you have to go wwayyyyyy back and do something to complete the room. im like... >_<

But besides that, I love the way the battle style is set. You can actually dodge the attacks yourself. You have cool Bros Moves, cool powers, whole new land to explore: Beanbean kingdom (the mushroom kingdoms neighbor) What more do you want out of a great game like this?

Thank you, Nintendo!

I have been a fan of the Super Mario Bros. games since I was six years old. My favorite one was probably Paper Mario - and this, as I have seen several people already mention, is basically a sequel to that game. The animation is similar, the gags equally hilarious, and the game just as deep and easy to explore. THANK YOU NINTENDO! I LOVE THIS GAME!!

This game is soooooooooo neat! Mario and Luigi both have voices, and are mutes...Just like most RPG heroes (Mario and Luigi make noises, but when they talk, they babble in gibberish.) Anyway...At the Mushroom Kingdom, The Goodwill Ambassador of BeanBean Kingdom, Lady Lima comes to Princess Peach's castle, to improve their ties with the Mushroom Kingdom. However, this Lady Lima is an imposter! It was really the Witch, Cackletta! She and her hilarious sidekick, Fawful steal Princess Peach's voice, and replace it with explosives. When they dart away, Bowser, Mario's arch-nemesis comes in, to kidnap Peach. Luckily, Toad had left as soon as Peach lost her voice, to contact the Mario Brothers. The leaping Italians soon arrive at Peach's castle. Luigi, who's been absent from Mario's recent adventures, cheers Mario on as he fights Bowser. Soon enough, Peach talks, and explosions happen. Bowser relizes that he cannot have her in his castle, or else her voice would destroy the place! Bowser teams up with the Mario Brothers to journey to the BeanBean Kingdom, and return Peach's Voice!

This game is like no other. I'm sure you've heard this, but I'll tell you anyways. This game reminds me a lot of the Zelda series, but I like this game even better. The game starts off slow and you have to go through a lot of training sessions and shows, but it wasn't too bad. In the game you can play as either Mario or Luigi, alternating between front and back. The puzzles are the main thing that makes me think of Zelda, but the gameplay is way different. When you enter into a battle you don't just say, "Hey you, go attack that thing right there," and hope their aim is on. To be succesfull in battle you must press the correct buttons for your attack with the right timing to hit the enemy. You must also be careful when dodging attacks, and if you get really good you can even cause a little damage in return. Not only is the gameplay original and fun, but the shows and animation can be pretty funny. The plot is that Princess Peache's voice has been stolen by Cackelak and you must go get it back before it's too late. Through out the game their are other puzzles and tasks you must complete that people ask "Mario, the Superstar of the Mushroom Kingdom" to complete. Poor Luigi is just "Mr. Green-guy"! The charcters emphasize what they wan't in all the shows and Mario and Luigi make funny gibbering noises for the dialouge. Overall this game is really fun and original and perfect for just about anybody.

Best mario yet!

this game is one of the best gameboy advance games yet!One of the bright sides is it has a great story. The bros.attacks can also be easily mastered. But the game is not easy.Especialy at bowsers castle!Thats were im stuck at the enemies themselves are a challenge!I mean think about trying to beat about 7 koopa guys with about 400 hp when your attacks only do like 37 damage? but thats the fun part the challenge!I sugest you put it on your christmas list if you have not!this is a good game for those who like challenges.but if not try getting somthing else.

Mario made into an RPG?

I thought this game was just another platforming game were you run and jump on enemys. I just finished beating the game, and it was actually my favorite Role Playing Game...ever. It was that enjoyable. You're laughing through most of the cut scenes. There are some very memorable characters in this game. If you don't know Fawful, you need to check this game out. He has the best lines in the game

One of the reasons I think I liked this game was because it's a great rpg with a mario twist. In normal rpg's you can't do anything to help dodge attacks. When fighting your enemys, you can either jump or use a hammer to counter attack, or dodge the hit.

There are some puzzles in this game. The Majority of them are easy. You need to pay attention when talking to people, because as they will sometimes give you hints by coloring the text either Green or Red. This helps you know where to be and what to do. If you do get lost, eventually a little shop will open up, allowing you to purchase the info to know where next to go.

The boss battles are great. This is where you use your Bros. Power attacks the most. This is were both brothers help one another pull off a powerful attack. You need to push the right button on the right time for the attack to be most effective.

I finished the game at about 23 hours total. It's not a short game. Sometimes you with you could just be done with it (collecting pieces of a "bean star" takes some exploring), but after the final boss battle, it feels great and was worth your time. An rpg with humor! I HAVE FURY!!!

One of the best Mario's RPGs

Nintendo and Alpha Dreams have made an excellent and addictive game for everyone and even better than "Partners in time" sequel.
