Action plus Adventure

This is a great game for beginners. If player "rests", the game will take you through a visual overview of the entire game which can help players get an idea of what to do next. Good combination of action and adventure. Game started out rather slowly and I thought the characters seemed more in tune with a children's game. However, one is quickly caught up in the storyline and the characters are actually rather endearing. Game allows simple and adequate methods to renew money, magic and health needs as necessary. Action picks up as the game progresses with segments that require fast finger action on the part of the player. A great variety of locations to visit with unique modes of travel. One segment, the Dome of the Slate, is very unusual and found me holding my breath anticipating disaster with each step. Game requires shooting and punching some bad guys, so may not be feasible for the younger set. Great buy at this price!

Excellent Games, but beware Damaged Audio Track Game

For the game , I got some problems on Installing the game into my Chinese Windows.

It will ask you to install DirectX 3A Just leave it alone and choose Cancel when you get Windows 98.

Story was great , except some places you might get stucked. Talk to more people in game ! They can help! Graphic was outstanding. However the game require you to use the Arrow key on keyboard to control the Twinsen. If they support Joypad , that will be more easier to control.

I hope to see another sequel of similar game.

this game blows my mind, its probably THE BEST pc game for teens/kids/adults. if you like fantasy, fun and third person perspective graphics, this game is for you. twinsen is a very cute, cartoony guy on a quest to fix the weather and save his land from awful aliens.......this game will lead you along many journeys and tasks and sub tasks and onto many worlds with the greatest graphics, sounds and its full of fun and challenges. you can do all in this game including stealing supplies you may need (you can pay for them as well) to helping people gain items, to embarking on journeys to get access to maps of sewer systems, purchasing ferry tickets, to getting new parts to repair your car to traveling with a jet pack... and calling a sea turtle to yoiur rescue, flying on a alien ship(i dont wanna give too much away) to getting medicine, learning magic to help your poor pet dragon(which this is where it all begins)it has eveything..thumbs up awesome GAME....a+++++

My love for the Twinsen's Odyssey game started from the game that started it all... titled "Relentless." At first, I was very reluctant to purchase the game. But once I installed it and let the cd do its thing, I was amazed. I have never seen such beautiful graphics and a great storyline in a PC game before. Its not violent compared to other games now. Besides, the small movie sequences make the game much more involving.
"Twinsen's Odyssey" is a great sequel to "Relentless." I like how the programmers basically kept the same concepts from its predecessor. Even the story is just as involving as the first. I highly recommend purchasing this game.

The Coolest 3-D like game of it's age!!!

This game just blows me away. The graphics are astounding. Twinsen has come a long way and there should be a LBA3. (A.K.A. that is the title of the series: Little Big Adventure.) It is awesome throughout traveling from planet to planet. Able to see cool cutscenes. Listen to funny voice lines. The moves are excellent and timed right. Overall, one of the best games ever of it's age.

GREAT GAME!!!

The graphics are a bit old, but still good. The gameplay itself is great. The plot is interesting and fun to go through.

I personally got stuck at this one stupid point for absolutely no reason but my own stupidity but once I got past that I loved it. Hours of gameplay and was never bored (except when i got stuck that once which allowed me to know every part of the Island by heart)

You play Twinsen, a hero who must first cure his dragon dinofly. It all starts with this simple task, but you end up saving the world (of course). The way you are asked to save the world, however, is unique from other games. There is both puzzle solving AND cool fighting. The combination of the two, even though the graphics may be a bit outdate make for a wonderful game well worth the money.

We (my sister and I) have had the game since 1997... I've finished it but every once in a while I still just want to play it sometimes. I've wanted to play games like it, but nothing really compares / is quite what I'm looking for.

In short...

Graphics: 8/10. a bit outdated, but good for when when it was made. No bugs, easy to play, but just not as 'flashy' as current day games. No big explosions, blinkie lights, but pretty worlds, even though the far background isn't as detailed.

music: 10/10. still humming it.

gameplay: 9.5/10. The reason it's not ten is only because it's outdated, but that was put more under graphics. The gameplay is still smooth, and enjoyable. There are four different modes, and you play with your keyboard, but i think this adds rather than takes away from the game.

plot: 10/10. The plot, even though it was a 'save the world game' you never really know what will come up and it really is different than most game plots. Make for very fun gameplay.

Overall, I still give 5 stars. One of my fav. games ever even though I play recent games too. Only thing is graphics because of age but they really are good (just old and not flashy).

The greatest games ever!

Despite its age its graphics are like todays. Twinson is amazing in his own kind of way. You find yourself not knowing whats next. Except that you get to kill hotdogmen. Its the best game ever!

This game offers a wide variety of worlds to visit, provides puzzles to be solved and is a highly addictive action/adventure game suitable for the whole family. It's like Zelda 64 for the PC.

One of my top 10 favorite games!

Thoroughly engaging storyline with lots of action and adventure. Though Twinsen's actions are a bit slow at times, it is still suprizingly good with hours of fun game play.
