A typical Crash Bandicoot game with excellent graphics.

The lucrative phrase "free-roaming levels" is a misnomer...Crash is still VERY limited as to where he can explore; however, there is a little more variety since Crash & Koko can ride different vehicles (a la Tomb Raider II & III). The graphics are definite eye-candy and the bosses (fortunately) seem to be a little tougher. Also, the game gives you different goals to accomplish so if you want perfection, Crash: Warped has more playability than the other 2 games. If you are a fan of Crash or platform-type games, this is a definite must have!

great

You can explore 5 lands, 5 different levels in each land. There is 5 secret levels. So that is why I give it a 5. You can also be Coco, Crash's sister!

Crash is back and better than ever!

This is a really awesome game. Sony made the third installment of this crazy series the best ever. You have a variety of levels and locations. Also, the Crash dance is hilarious. I bought it just to see that! But there are some boring parts in the game... First of all, they didn't put any AI in the enemies and bosses. The levels are so easy. For advice, put some more AI and make the game more complex. Anyways, it's a really cool game. Check it out.

Crash 3 is not very innovative at all. Although there are many levels in the game, they fall into 4 or 5 categories, and within a category there is little variation between levels. You'll beat the game in less than a week, and then you can go on to collect all the hidden items, but who cares? The game is just not that much fun to play. It has a few new levels where you get to pilot various vehicles, but this gets old quickly. The completely linear gameplay is the main problem with the whole series, and this certainly wasn't touched while developing Crash 3. It may be worth a rental; beat it and return it.

mostly the same

This third Crash outing boasts the best graphics, intro sequences and visuals of the series, and there are even moments of dialogue from various villains between levels.

Though early levels are excellently addictive, things soon descend into the level of seen-it-all-before. The bike ride was a novel idea but it gets wearisome after two-dozen times or so, and you can't help feeling the bi-plane shoot-em-ups et al were thrown in for the sake of it, as though there was some list of things that hadn't been done in this series that was being crossed off.

Might provide entertainment, but only in the short-term.
