Good game for a good price

This is by far the best game Ubi Soft has come out with. Other games like Gunfighter and Largo Winch don't even come close to being as good as Planet of the Apes. The graphics are as good as they get on playstation, even better than c-12 final resistance. It's hard to beleive that a brand new playstation game that is so good sells for so cheap. Go get it now!!!!!

Back to Monkey Planet.

In this game, you are Ulysses, an astronaut whose ship crashes on a foreign, yet seemingly familiar planet. Not long after crashing, you are hunted down by gorillas and put in a prison. Your mission is to escape and find out exactly what is the secret of the planet of the apes. The game is more like the original PLANET OF THE APES movie than the Tim Burton remake, (though the apes look more like Burton's apes).

I have heard other gamers complain that this game is too much like other games (e.g. Tomb Raider). Seeing that this was one of the first games I have bought since buying my new system, I really have nothing to compare it with.

I really enjoyed playing the game. I found the story interesting and wasn't phased at all by the "outdated" graphics. The game does only let you save after completing a level. However, though I found this feature rather frustrating at times, it also made the game more challenging and difficult to beat. This isn't a blow-em-up action game. Instead, it is more of a physical boxing match interspaced with various quests.

Recommended for basic gamers and any fans of Planet of the Apes.

Nice graphics and interesting gameplay make this title a value priced winner!!! Provided many hours of interesting gameplay, including puzzle and combat---with big hairy apes none the less. Analog compatible. Very good value. Would highly recommend.
