Get it While You Can

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 3

My brother received this game YEARS ago as a gift from a friend, and it gets harder and harder to locate as time goes by, so if you are considering this game, grab it while it is still available.

I have to disagree with the review that called this game boring. Since there is little review on the game plot, I will try to explain it here.

At the start of the game you are hired by a mysterious woman to accompany her to a family gathering, a wake for her recently deceased father. There is a murder at the house where the gathering is taking place, and you are in the wrong place, at the wrong time, sometimes with blood on your hands.

The scenes are filmed by real actors, and unlike other video games that offer alternate endings, in this game everything you touch and everyone who's head you take a ride in changes the entire rest of the game.

During game play, bubbles pop up on the side of the screen. When you touch an object, you view traumatic events associated with that object. Some bubbles are the faces of people in close proximity to you, you can walk around watching what they see, hearing what they say, etc.

The point of the game is to find four mysterious objects, learn the psychological strengths and weaknesses of those involved and play one powerful psychic in a mental game called "Black Diamond". There are multiple endings to the game, and my siblings and I have played the game again and again and again in an effort to get them all.

I find that this game has maximum playability, there are so many different options. I wish more games were made of this quality, this much playing time, so many alternatives to gameplay and as much thought given to plotlines.
