My twin 9 year olds favorite game

Out of all the DS games my kids have they say this is their favorite. Other games they own include Zelda, Nintendogs, Cooking Mama, Brain Age, Imagine Fashion Designer.

Fun. Wacky.

I have no sense of rhythm. I'm the guy clapping off beat at the concert. I still like this game. Sure, my wife kicks my butt at this game, but it's just fun. I wish it had more good songs. I also wish it had cost a bit less, but with the music industry's hand in the pot, I wouldn't count on it.

Learn to love replaying!

This is my favorite game in years. The first time I played through it I was disappointed because it is so short; initially you have 16 songs and the gameplay is relatively easy. I've never been the kind of person to replay a game over and over on different difficulties and I was just really upset that it didn't take very long to play all the way through it the first time.

BUT oh man, once you get into playing it again... and again... and again, first to unlock those elusive Divas and then to unlock all the songs and ranks and eventually Kahn, it adds up to quite a bit of play time, not to mention playing it again and again just because it is so much fun! I will warn you that if you don't like the music, don't buy it-you will get to hear these songs over and over and OVER again, unless you're only interested in playing it through once on Breezin'. Watching Kahn dance around as a playable character was worth every one of the times I tried to beat Jumpin' Jack Flash in Divas mode.

Agents are... Groovy! (by Laura)

Elite Beat Agents is easily one of the best games I have played... and I have played many games. Let me share the pros and cons with you.

Cons:

1. The game is really hard. I played a demo in the store last year and it really frustrated me, so I didn't get it then. I only got this game recently, because it seemed to haunt me... Plus, I only barely got past the breezin' level (that's the easiest level out of four). In crusin' (the second level) I'm stuck on the "Let's Dance" plot.

Pros:

1. I can only think of one con to this game. Which speaks a lot for it, because I normally tear even my favorite games apart.

2. Funny and entertaining storylines. Basically you play as dancing agents in a problematic world. The way I see it, your job is to encourage people to do well in their difficult missions by dancing the best you can. The storyline continues depending on the Elite O' Meter. If your dancing is good enough to be in the "yes" section, you get the best case scenarios for each scene; but if your dance is going haywire and you end up in the "no" section, you get the worst case scenarios, where things go terribly wrong. Should the bar fall down to zero, it's game over. How many good and bad scenes you get also control the ending. That's all there is to it. Plots include helping a babysitter control kids, helping a pair of celebrity twins survive a deserted island, helping a dog get home, helping a taxi driver get a pregnant woman in labor to the hospital without losing his liscense, helping a girl meet the spirit of her father for Christmas (a uniquely sentimental, tearjerking storyline), and many other plots, even to a point of saving the entire world at once.

3. Groovy music. Out of 19 songs I guarantee there is at least a few you will like. My favorite tunes are "Material Girl", "Sk8ter Boi", "Highway Star", "Anthem", "Without a Fight", "Y.M.C.A.", "Makes no Difference"... Well, I love all of the tunes; I don't have a specific favorites list. Most of these songs are 80's tunes, and, to me, the 70's through the 80's was the golden age of music. You will have fun with these songs, as EBA levels have you tapping with the tune; not just random tapping. Paying attention to the songs is the key to doing well.

4. The game is thorough and well-balanced. I don't have to tell you how to play because Commander Kahn (leader of the agents) has a training run at the start of the game, to teach you what to do. In addition, if there is something you don't understand, you can always repeat the training drill. Another cool feature is the ability to save your dances with replay save (one dance per stage). It also saves the scenes and pictures, so you can see them whenever you want! Great tools like this, can make a game enjoyable to the max!

I hope this review helps. Overall, this is a perfect game, save for it's extreme difficulty; but as my mom says, "No game would be fun if it didn't challenge you." (don't let that fool you; she isn't much of a gamer.) A cool game that I think any skilled gamer could enjoy, I highly recommend; and this game is one of those games.

Very Fun!

I picked this game up at Wal-Mart because it came in a Ds travel kit for under $20 and I had heard alot of good things about this title. It is alot of fun but unfortunately I don't get to play it much (even though I bought it for myself) because my Husband and oldest daughter love it so much. lol. I think the graphics and music are just awesome on this one.

This game is possibly the greatest, most overlooked game to ever come out on the Nintendo DS. It's silly, it's musical, it's challenging, but above all, it's fun. Sure, not all of the songs available are fantastic (read: Sk8er Boi), but the game still makes it work. It's wild and ridiculous, and it may even damage your DS screen from the hardcore beats you'll be slamming down on it (I did), but trust me, the sheer enjoyment you get out of watching top-secret government male cheerleaders doing their job will be all worth it. Can I give this game 6 stars? Because I would if I could.

awesome rhythmic tapping game!

I purchased this game because it was similar to the game Dance Dance Revolution. EBA is very addicting.

The only thing that I thought was kind of annoying was the wait time for it to load when playing with 2 or more players. When you play with other DS owners, it takes a while to DL the EACH song to play. First it would load the master DS, then load the competitors DS. For each song you want to play, it does that.

I haven't really gone that far yet in the game but it only starts out with two levels.

Overall this game is great and I would recommend it to people that has good rhythmic skills. =)

Lots of Fun

This game was recommended by a friend. The primise of the game is to keep up with the beat of the music in order to complete the selected missions. However I wish it would let you pick the genere of the music. The music is randomly chosine for for. I would would recommend it to others. It is very enjoyable to play.

Don't let the cover art or silly animations fool you, this game is absolutely wonderful! the songs follow a decently wide genre, allowing a little something for everyone, and the game simply plays amazingly well. I recommend this game to absolutely everybody!

If you play it, you'll get addicted, that simple.

Awesome!

this game was really cool. it really is worth it at such low price...

after your done tho, you prolly wont want to play again xcept on wifi, which is awesome because your friend(s) dont need the game to play, and up to four can go with just one card! so it is a very good multiplayer game!
