So much fun! But a bit easy.

As far as all the Zelda games go, I've always enjoyed playing them. I was especially excited when this game for DS came out. I have to admit that I've always found them a bit hard though. But I was somewhat disappointed when 5 days after getting the game on Christmas, I was done already! I'd used no cheats at all and had barely played over 4 hours a day. So I guess this game was considerably easier than the other ones. Disregarding the challenge level however, this game was incredibly fun and it was really hard to stop playing.

Awesome

I purchased this game as part of the Special Edition Gold DS with the TriForce Logo. My kids got a big kick out it... (To be honest I bought a DS because my kids would not let me play with theirs).

Back to the game, this is what an adventure came should be. I really like the feature of writing on the maps. Not more making notes and having to carry those around. Just write on the map... Very cool.

Some of the boss fights take some time to figure out what to do, but hey that is what it is all about. I can't believe they packed as much as they did into this game.

I finished the game in about month, it was really good, I would like to go back and play it again at some point.

My opinion this is one of those **Must Have** games.

Great fun - Too easy

Let me just say that this game has some of the most fun gameplay elements I've seen in a while. Cramming everything onto the touch screen was a risk that Nintendo took, but it payed off beautifully. There are only a few areas of the game where touch control seems contrived or gimmicky. The game also has a feature that I've been craving since playing Link to the Past in my teens: map notes. This is such a clever and useful tool, and I love it.

However, the game is tainted by one thing: it is way too easy. They practically spell most of the puzzles out for you, and it is a real disappointment in the difficulty area. Even so, I still recommend it, as it is fun and gives a lot of enjoyment.

My Favorite Handheld Game

There are plenty of reviews that go more in depth here so I'll keep mine short. The story is good, the graphics perfect, puzzles great, and interface awesome. I have enjoyed the entire Zelda series and this is one of the best in my opinion. My favorite puzzles involve the way they make you use the grappling hook and boomerang. Expect many hours of fun and enjoyment. Highly recommended

Terrific Game - Best Game I've found for the DS Lite!

Stop reading this review and click "BUY NOW" - you won't be disappointed. Where to start... no more silly XYAB buttons to press, the game is 99% played by stylus which is great! all of Link's actions can be finely controlled with the stylus much better than with the buttons. The storyline is equally good - without giving anything away, you must once again save Zelda, but this time you have a ship too! so you can go island hopping - each island has a least one clever and unique thing to do on it, and most have many. in addition to the regular adventure there is also a "battle mode" where you can play a totally different game against your friends who have a DS Lite. The graphics are A+ as well. (The graphics are so good that after playing this, other games' graphics look terrible.)

With the hint book or using the internet to solve puzzles this game will still take the better part of 2 weeks to play from start to finish, and if you only play a few hours a day and figure everything out yourself, plan on about a month.

I can't wait for the next Zelda game to come out :)

Impressive game. It's obvious a lot of time was put into making this game.

I'm not a big video game person. I grew up with regular Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Game Boy... so just the basics. I recently got Nintendo DS for Christmas, along with several games and Zelda DS is by far the best game. The game is extremely addicting, so beware. It took me a long time to beat the game, and I even had to look up some cheats. Now that I finally beat the game, I am sad that I have nothing to do :). I would not recommend this game to children under 13 because it is a bit difficult and requires some patience. The game is adventurous, mind-boggling, funny, and fulfilling. It seems like the creators of this game put A LOT of thought into it and a lot of time into making every detail perfect. I hope they come out with another one!!

I'm new to the whole video game thing. I was never really that interested in them before. My husband bought me a DS lite for my birthday because I was playing with his DS lite. I got Zelda (never played the old one yet) and I LOVE this game. I can't get enough of it.

Does anyone know if there are any others like it? If there are, I'll definitely get them. This game is a blast!

I bought this game used from amazon and it's great fun! Dungeons are filled with puzzles and creatures to face, customizing your ship is a blast, ship travel is quick and enjoyable and overall it's just fun to play. My older sister keeps on taking my DS to play the game herself and I don't blame her. Graphics are pretty good for the DS and the stylus controls worked even better than I thought they would. My only complaint is that visiting the temple of the ocean king is a pain in the [...] especially since you have to go back there all the time and redo all of the puzzles you solved the last time you went there. Other than that small complaint it's a great game and was made for the sole purpose of having a good time!

Zelda is AWESOME!

You try to defeat the "bosses" (evil creatures) to get more time in the hourglass so you can upgrade your ship and weapons. Graphics could be improved.
