A Capcom classic

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 7 / 7

On the eight-bit Nintendo Entertainment System, Capcom released a number of gaming masterpieces. Some of them, like the Mega Man series, got a good deal of credit from gamers everywhere, while many went unnoticed by a number of gamers. One of those games that tended to go unnoticed was Little Nemo - The Dream Master. That's a real shame, since this was such a cool game. Read on for my review of it.

PROS:
-The first thing I should say about this game is that the graphics are VERY good for an NES game. The glitching is very minimal. Capcom's NES games were renowned for their high resolution, and this game demonstrates that beautifully.
-The game is easy to learn but tough to master. Many gamers will tell you that games like that are best of all - and once again, this game is proof of that.
-There is plenty of variety here. Your primary attack (which stuns enemies) is to throw candy at them. However, there are some peaceful animals, and if you feed them candy, you can fuse with them and use their abilities! For example, the frog lets you jump high, the hornet lets you fly short distances and fire stingers, the lizard lets you climb walls, and the fish makes it easier to swim. These fusions may also expand your life bar.
-For the last level, you get a magic wand. This weapon KICKS.
-Don't let the cutesy look fool you - this is a HARD game. NES owners seeking a challenge will surely find it here.
-There is no battery or passwords, but the game does have a stage select code to make up for it.

CONS:
-The major problem with this game is one that a ton of NES games shared - extreme difficulty. This game starts hard and it only gets harder.
-Though glitching is minimal, there is certainly some present.

OVERALL:
If you've got an NES, Little Nemo: The Dream Master is a game worth playing. Don't pass it by because it looks "too cute"; this is a game that will challenge ALL gamers. RECOMMENDED TO ALL NES OWNERS.

A fun simple Classic

Little Nemo came out at a time when the NES was it's hottest, along with a young Capcom (who had already had success with the Megaman franchise as well as a number of Disney Titles).

The story behind Little Nemo is that Nemo is on an adventure through slumberland. With eight levels each one getting progressivly harder. Nemo is armed with Candy which can stun his foes and get certain animals on his side. From the Frog who increases his jumping ability to the Gorilla who is a powerhouse the game featured many things. Within each level (outside of the last) you had to gather a set # of keys in order to escape the level. In the final level Nemo, now armed with the Kings magic septer must square off against the Nightmare king and his villians.

This game is a fun classic that did suffer a little from an insane difficulty, especially in level 3 where your on a speeding train. However if you are an NES fan to fanatic than this is definetly a must own title.

One of the best games for NES

I remember when I was 8 years old I had this game it was kind of hard on the 3rd level I don't remember how hard but I could not beat it with out the game genie but it was one of the best games that I could not stop playing me and my sister loved it more than any other games we owned. No other game for NES would be better than this except maybe castlevania or guerilla war. I highly recommend this game to anyone who owns a NES. I would get it too if I owned a NES. Yeah fat chance now and days it's a big risk to buy one they don't exist anymore it's expensive and you can't trust the working condition.
