I bought this game thinking it would be like the one for gamecube. This game is knothing like it. Its pretty much imposible to to the search missions because there are no maps. The touch screan could be used as one but it is not, insted it is used to select special move to do when you press R, and there are only three you start out with and the others are preaty much imposible to get. In conclusion this is one of those games that might be fun playing at gamestop of target for five mintites but after that you will probubly never want to play it again.

I bought this game and at first I thought it was kind of cool. The graphics were all right as well as the sound. But on the second level of the game I can never find all the people. Maybe there is a glitch in the game or something but I have tried again and again and i cant find that last person. So basically this game is a waste of money. If someone knows how to get past this please post another review telling everyone.

I got this game at Christmas and I thought it was going to be great. Boy was I wrong. Spiderman 2 is a really bad game. You will end up playing stages over and over again. The only way I could beat this game was with the guide-and that's the only way TO beat the game, with the exception of a few stages where you can actually figure out what to do. The Spiderman franchise in my opinion has only shined on conseles, not on handhelds. Well if you are a die-hard Spiderman Fan, then buy the game, just don't expect to have any fun playing it. I ended up giving it to a friend and he later told me that he sold it off. Well...You make the decision, but I'm warning you: Don't buy the game and don't give it a second thought.

I expected more...

I'm a gamer. that's all there is to it. I saw this game at target and then wasted 39 bucks on it. this game is cruddy. it's gameplay is rather slow, and 2-D. Really i expected more. the ds is capaple of so much, with the added help of the touch screen. you start out with 3 special abilitys, and it's imposible to get more, exept with cheats. Then i saw the PSP version, and i was stunned. All i want is to save you people from wasting 30 bucks. Might i reccomend Rayman DS.

Oh gees, another DS game with no touch-screen. A big disappointment. Spider-man 2 blows. The lack of fighting and touchy "web slinging" moves kind of draws you out of the game. An with no map it's hard to see where you are going without flying into fire or a thug. Don't waste your time... better yet, avoid the DS. Only 16 games. Only 5 use the touchscreen. You can kiss nintendo goodbye now that the PSP is on the market with 26 games.

Fun for a while

I bought this game thining it would be 3D. I half to admit I cand only play rated E games. So I can play Spiderman1 for my gamecube and the graphics are great. When I buought spiderman(2) for Ds I thought the graphics would be something like 3rd person view. The back ground graphics 3D but Spidy can only go left, right and jump. Your view is to the side of him.
Now something positive. The gameplay is pretty fun though there is verry little use for the touch screen.
My final point is I wouldnt buy it for over $20.

No, actually you and I are very different. I should wonder why Vicarious Visions would let out a game like this! The game is so unfinished. My goodness! The graphics in the game are pretty well done untill you get a closer look at it, then the horrible truth comes out. Don't get me wrong, there are some strong points in this game and theres a whole lot more of down points. The really strong point in this game is the sound. The sound actually almost sounds as if it came from the console versions. But further down the road things just get ugly. The qoutes in the game really are stupid. Like, "You may have destoryed my robots, Spider-Man. But you'll never defeat me!" things like that are really stupid! You got to hand it to these guys, they use the most overly used and abused sayings in the book. I personally feel that there was alot more potential in this game. There again developers are getting lazy and lazyer by the moment. I think the key thing wrong with games today is they lack imagination and that's one of the unique things God created in us! So that's my reveiw. Remember " Be a customer. Not a consumer! Period."- Jake Smithers

More of a showcase for what the DS can pump out

One of the first games to show what Nintendo's DS could be capable of graphically, Spider-Man 2 is only an average super hero romp at best. With it's psuedo 3-D graphics, Spider-Man 2 puts you in the shoes, and webs, of Marvel's resident web-slinger as you swing across Manhattan to battle generic baddies on your way to go toe to toe with Doctor Octopus and other villains. The first thing you'll notice is that the graphics look great for a DS game, and nicely showcase what Nintendo's dual screened portable can do with it's graphics processors. The few touch screen controls however aren't really anything special, and the gameplay itself isn't anything we haven't seen before. That being said, there's nothing really bad about Spider-Man 2: it's got solid super hero, beat 'em up action that's easy for anyone to get into, and the glossy package makes it pretty easy on the eyes. It's worth a look for new DS owners, but there are far, far better games out there for Nintendo's wonderful portable that are more worth your time.
