This isn't so much a review since I haven't played the game yet....but I found a list of songs on another site and thought that I would post them here...This is where I usually come to look at the songlists. Hopefully they are right! :) Looking forward to trying it out. I have three boys and they LOVE this game!
The list includes 25 of the 35 songs in KR Country. The other 10 being unlocks.

YEE-HAW!!!! Love that CMT Karoake!!!

FYI: This is just the game, it does not come with a microphone. If you need one, I suggest buying: The PS2 CMT Presents: Karaoke Revolution Country Bundle here at Amazon, it
comes with a great PS2 Microphone.
This game also includes an option to sing duets (to take advantage of that, you will need to buy an additional microphone).
Another great addition to this game is the PS2 Eye Toy, if you have one (I also bought the Eye Toy 2 Game bundle that comes with the new Eye toy camera). When you use the eye toy, you can actually see yourself sing the songs or choose a character and use the eyetoy to put you in the background of the game (It's really neat)!!
The game tells you that there are 35 songs, what it doesn't explain is that you have to unlock some of those songs (Celebrity and Friends in low places are 2 that I have unlocked in just one sitting). You unlock outfits, games, characters by singing well and earning gold, platinum and diamond records. You can set the judging for easy, normal and difficult. It also has training so you can get used to it. We just jumped right on and headed for the "arcade" competition. You can choose your character and make them look like however you want, even change their outfits. You can choose the songs you want to sing, or choose random so that it chooses for you, and you can choose the arena you sing in (again, with the eyetoy, you can put yourself and/or your living room into the scene)!
I just received the game yesterday and my daughter and I couldn't stop playing, it's addictive!
If you don't want to compete and you just feel like singing, you can choose the "karaoke" option and just sing without being judged. There are also mini-games on there, but we didn't get to that yet. There is a lot you can do, I was so impressed and the song list was all the hot country music out right now. The other great thing about this is you can choose to sing along with the original artist of the song, or you can lower their voice and/or music to just sing the words by yourself. We enjoyed singing along, like you would in your car or watching their video, it makes it a little easier in my opinion.
The game is very enjoyable, even when you've already sang a song, you want to sing it again to try to improve, love hearing that crowd cheer! But if you sing badly, you will get booed off and get zero points (my daughter didn't like that!)

I just want to reiterate: you will need at least 1 PS2 compatible microphone to play this (Optional would be a 2nd microphone to sing duets and the EyeToy to see yourself on tv)!

Very Fun to Play

I love this game. It is so fun to play. We have a few Karaoke Revolution games. But when I saw the country one I did't hesitate to buy it. It like all the other Karaoke Rev. games but with country songs and good country songs to, from old ones like "Crazy" to todays " I Like it I love It".
If you like Karaoke you will love Karaoke Country.

My kids love the karaoke games in general. This one is fun especially if you like country music but "Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy" is on there and I don't think that is a appropriate song for kids.

Fun game, dampened by technical problems

I like the game so far, but I'm also actually having a pretty significant technical problem with the game. I suspect the game works just fine for 99% of the readers here, so people will just think I'm crazy. Sigh, oh well.

We were really surprised to discover that the Karaoke Revolution Country lyrics were unreadable as they scrolled to the left. I'm projecting from my PS2 via Sony component cable (the newer PS3/PS2 version) to a Benq PB6200 DLP projector. Everything else in the game looks about as crisp as I could expect, including the stationary text elements, but the scrolling text is basically impossible to read if you don't already have an idea what the lyrics are. There's really no way for me to learn any of the songs I don't already know (which, for someone who doesn't listen to country much, amounts to a lot of the songs). And a couple of friends have confirmed the same problem in my home, so it's not just my eyes. =]

I also decided to try to feed the signal into my 24" iMac. I didn't have any way to go from component to firewire, so I had to switch back to the PS2 composite video cable so I could play the live feed through an app called Vidi (which takes in video the same way iMovie accepts a firewire feed from a camcorder). To my shock, the same problem with the lyrics existed. Unreadable. I popped in Karaoke Revolution: American Idol just to see if it was the Country version that was the problem. Same blurry lyrics. So I want to believe it's not the game (as I've seen it look just fine at other people's houses), but I honestly don't know how to correct the problem!

I'd love to hear about any solutions to overcome this problem! If nothing else, it certainly makes me appreciate SingStar's lyrics system (no motion)!

High on my List
