I love the DKC series and this is one of my favorite games for the SNES.

Pros:

Eight new worlds to make your way through
Fun mini games
Outstanding graphics
New challenges such as 85 bonus coins and 41 DK coins to collect
Interesting game play as well as an array of new villains

Cons:

The only con I can think of is that they replaced Rambi with Ellie (an annoying elephant).

This game is great and it is definitely worth picking up.

First Donkey, Then Diddy now Dixie & A baby....

Now it's up to dixie kong to save the Kongs and taging along is her baby Brother. Well you would think alot of bad stuff but having him around actually helps he makes up in strenght but not speed. I think he is a pretty good character/. This was just as good as the first two and the animal friends are pretty sweet. And if you really want to beat the game you have to collect all of the bananna birds. This game still rocks

if you liked this game Check out DKC DKC 2 and the DKC 1, 2, 3 Version of the games for GBA.

There's nothing technically wrong with DKC3:DK'sDT. I mean, it's a great platformer, but it has a tendancy to seem more like a chore than actual fun. Dixie Kong returns front-and-center from her co-starring role in Diddy's Kong Quest, and nothing's changed about her. That's good news because she can still whack enemies with her hair and glide like a helicopter. That's bad news because she can't take-out some bigger enemies, so she needs the help of her overweight brat, Kiddy Kong.

Could of made it better

I think they could of made this way better. I definitly like the other two better. I think the game itself is fine, but it gets rather dull. You have to collect all the gold coins; every single one!! Boring!! But It is not as bad as some...

Not as good as I thought

They should've made this game like the 2 before it. They just made it too complex and un donkey kong ya know what i mean?
Its ok at first, but it gets boring too fast.
( at least it's not nearly as bad as DK64 )

it would be better If Nintendo Rerelease this Game for GBA!

Since Nintendo already rereleased the Other DKC Games It would be better if nintendo Put this in a GBA Port. Plus I do have this game for the SNES along with the other ones but The Super NES is Getting old and I would prefer if Nintendo Rerelease this game for the GBA!

After playing the first two games, I was actually disapointed with this game. At first it was good. But some of the levels and secrets that you unlock were just too much. I like that there are more things to do, but there is too much. You have to collect all the Banana Birds, and to do that you need all the DK coins, and to do that you need to complete the lost world, and to do that you need all the bonus coins! There is so much to do in this game, I was almost shocked that it wasn't an RPG after I'd gotten 103% rating. So much to do, and you need a large effort to do it. They say DKC2 is the longest, well that's not true. Everything you do in this game connects. I was also feeling like I was playing through DKC2 all over again. It was the same basic thing. Only rescuing Diddy and Donkey this time around. Kiddy Kong wasn't a great character to add onto this to me. He couldn't do anything, and I found myself always needing Dixie to get things. It had changed so much from the first two with all the stuff you needed to do to beat the game entirely. There were two different endings, but they were both kinda sad. The music was also pretty bad. I found myself anxious to finish the level. Not the best of games, and not the worst. Though at some points I was kinda bored. But it was more difficult than the first two. I'll grant it that. If you enjoyed the first two, get this one. If not....then don't waste your time.

You can't go wrong with donkey kong.

This is one of my all-time faveorite games for any system.I also own the first donkey kong country and I can definatly say that this games is definatly better than the original.First off,the music. The music from any of the donkey kong country games is one of the stand-out features.Often creepy and melencholy always entertaining and beautiful. It is a form of techno but also very ambient and melodic. Then we have the enviroments that go along with the music and some of my faveorite levels are the cliff-top levels with the sound of howling wind and airy synth and the under-water levels which have a gorgeus aquatic,japanese-style folksong sound and beautiful coral with rippling graphics.

The levels themselves are ingenius,I don't know why nintendo keeps releasing portable versions of donkey kong country when the sequels are infinitly better.in every level there is basically one gimmick that is repeated throughout in every variation and form and Rare came up with some incredible ideas for their levels. One level has you on a rope that has been lit on fire and you must keep climbing to avoid the flame or avoid falling of entirely and while this may not sound like something they could keep interesting or challening all the way to the end of the level, they do a perfect job of mixing things up and makeing the level progressivly harder and harder. There is also a level that takes place in a pipeline and when you swim in the water your right and left are inverted so you have to avoid fish and other nasties by controling your character mirror-image style, definatly challenging! This is basically the game and let me tell you,it never gets old you will always come back to this game and find it very challenging. If you don't own this game I suggest getting it before it has disappeared entirely.
