I think that all of the Donkey Kong Country games are the best SNES games out there. It really ... that companies have started to forget about SNES. It is so hard to find SNES games anymore. I have as much fun playing SNES that I have playing my N64. I haven't been able to buy this game due to it is very hard to find it. I do own DKC 1 and 2. I have rented in the past DKC 3 and I really liked it. The graphics are awesome and the levels are even more challenging than the other DKC games. In this game the colors are really bright. If I was to suggest one of the DKC games I would say buy this one but then again it is really difficult to find one. A good spot to look is ... if you really want one because I doubt that ... will be getting more in. I might be wrong but ... is selling less and less SNES games so I have a feeling that they wont be selling them soon.

What happened!?

After playing the first two games, I was actually disapointed with this game. At first it was good. But some of the levels and secrets that you unlock were just too much. I like that there are more things to do, but there is too much. You have to collect all the Banana Birds, and to do that you need all the DK coins, and to do that you need to complete the lost world, and to do that you need all the bonus coins! There is so much to do in this game, I was almost shocked that it wasn't an RPG after I'd gotten 103% rating. So much to do, and you need a large effort to do it. They say DKC2 is the longest, well that's not true. Everything you do in this game connects. I was also feeling like I was playing through DKC2 all over again. It was the same basic thing. Only rescuing Diddy and Donkey this time around. Kiddy Kong wasn't a great character to add onto this to me. He couldn't do anything, and I found myself always needing Dixie to get things. It had changed so much from the first two with all the stuff you needed to do to beat the game entirely. There were two different endings, but they were both kinda sad. The music was also pretty bad. I found myself anxious to finish the level. Not the best of games, and not the worst. Though at some points I was kinda bored. But it was more difficult than the first two. I'll grant it that. If you enjoyed the first two, get this one. If not....then don't waste your time.

Could of made it better

I think they could of made this way better. I definitly like the other two better. I think the game itself is fine, but it gets rather dull. You have to collect all the gold coins; every single one!! Boring!! But It is not as bad as some...

Well, here it is. Donkey Kong Country3. I liked this game because, surprisingly, it's alot easier than the other DK's!
In this game, You are the duo of Dixie Kong, Diddy's girl, and Kiddy Kong, a huge primeape who is a lot younger for his size. A new foe awaits you in the lost world, named Baron K Roolinstien, and his huge robo-companion.
It's a game for all ages.

Of all of the Donkey Kong games, this one is definitely my favorite. This game is very fun, and the graphics are incredible for a Super Nintendo game. Sure this game can get long: you need to find all of the bonus coins, DK coins, and banana birds in order to get to the boss in the bonus world, but that makes this game fun, and ensures that you have to look extra hard to find all those bonus levels! If you have a Super Nintendo, you must have this game. This game has given me hours and hours of pure fun, and I haven't been disappointed once!

An Oldie but a Greatie

I discovered this gem after I bought my own SuperNintendo system a couple of years ago. My sister REALLY wanted me to get it, and I am really glad I listened to her! I just really wanted to get back to the genious of 2-d side-scrolling games. Anybody who's grown up with 3-d is probably just the opposite (I remember the first time I played Pong at a friend's house when Atari was new).

When it comes to fun simple yet still detailed games that also have amazing graphics it is hard to beat DK3. I am always disapointed in newer adventure/platform games because there is no option but to play solitary, or watch someone play. With the DK games, you can have a great time with two people!
The best thing about playing this game was playing it with my sister, because she remembered playing it in college just as I did (although I didn't play 3 then, only 2). It is definitely a game that stays with you long after you've played it. Now, how many games made today can you say that about, and say with an ecstatic smile?
It is games like this that make purchase of this (at least) three-generations-back system and remain disillusioned so far with the new GameCube which I got for X-mas.
Now to start pushing harder for a Nintendo 64 for my birthday!

Even Better than the last two DK games

After having great success with Donkey Kong Country and DK2, Nintendo decided to make DK3 for the Super Nintendo and make it even better than the previous two versions. Nintendo had a very tough task to do in making this game even better, but they did.

Donkey Kong Country 3 includes two new main characters, Dixie Kong (who was also in DK2) and Kiddy Kong to to replace Donkey and Diddy Kong. It also includes graphics that are a lot better than many other SNES games. There are also many new bonuses and great secret places you need to find to beat the game.

The object of DK3 is the same as DK1 and 2. You need to beat every level and world in the game. After each world there is a boss that is more challenging than the regular places in the world. But in DK3 you need to collect all of the bonus coins and DK coins as well as beat every level to beat the game which makes the game more fun and challenging. You also need to collect all of the banana birds. You need to find them in special areas in cove's by playing a game similar to Simon where different lights light up in different orders and you have to repeat it in the same order.

Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong have a lot of friends along the way. Wrinkly, the old monkey at the save cave is always complimenting you. Funky Kong is at Funky Rentals where he gives you cool new water equipment like motor boats, water-skis, jet-ski's, etc. And a another great addition to the game is Swanky's Sideshow, a tent where you can play games head-to-head against Cranky Kong to earn bananas and coins to earn extra lives and buy stuff.

If you are looking for a great adventure game or want to get the newest DK title, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble is the game to get for your Super Nintendo.

This is a really great game/ and it gets better!

This is a game that not only gets better as the levels go on but it also gets harder. At one point my son and I decided that we would have to go and hunt down the player's guide. Wow! What a difference that made. There are levels of play that I am sure we would still be fighting to get through if not for this. We had a little trouble finding the guide so go to your used video game stores or order it directly at nintendo.com. Anyway get this game and get the guide and you won't come out of your house or get any sleep for quite awhile!!

Not as good as I thought

They should've made this game like the 2 before it. They just made it too complex and un donkey kong ya know what i mean?
Its ok at first, but it gets boring too fast.
( at least it's not nearly as bad as DK64 )
