To me classic Mr Do is more than a video game. It is a throwback to the greatest decade the world has ever known, the 1980s. In the 80's I had it made, hot girlfriends, good jobs, good friends, good music. Everything about the 1980's was the best, including the video games.

Though Mr. Do may be unknown to today's gamers who have only read about DOnkey Kong and Pac-Man in history class, Mr. Do is a game of challenge, skill, and luck. As Mr. Do you must dog your way throuh lands of brightly colored screens to collect cherries. Clearing the screen of cherries is but one way to advance to the next level.

Armed with a high speed bouncing ball of brilliant energy, you must elude or destroy the red diggers who come after you. But there are other dangers as well. The apples are obstacles and weapons. You can push them and drop them on your pursuers, or you can use them to block their path, but watch out, these crafty characters can change form and dig themselves.

Also there are the monsters named E, X, T, R, and A. You must destroy them all to get an extra Mr Do. But the alphabet monsters are accompanied by blue gobble monsters.

I have played Mr Do at least 6 times a day for the last 24 years. To this day the game intrigues me. Nothing is better than spending a Saturday night playing Mr Do, playing Guns n Roses on my cassette tape boom box, and looking longfully at my prom picture from 1989. The girl I loved is long gone, but I am still here in my happy place with Mr. Do.
