an ok game

This game is a marginal game. There are a couple of levels that are recon only, which I didn't like. They didn't tell you where to place the bug, so I spent an unbelievable amount of time in this one house. The only thing that made it worthwhile is I knew the floor plan by memory when I shot up the place 2 levels later. I got the cheat codes and skipped the next recon level. I've never been able to program the computer men to do anything useful, even after beating the entire game. The menu offers a huge number of weapons to choose from, too many really. It's hard to tell the difference. On the plus side, most of the levels are fun. I think Medal of Honor is a much better game.

Rogue Spear Speared Me

Rogue Spear is good on the playstation but is excellent on the computer. The first Tom Clancy Rainbow Six that came out was poor for the playstation but was great for the pc. In the playstation version of the first rainbow six the controls were complicated and the movement of the player was terrible. Rogue Spear has improved a tiny bit on the controls. Overall rogue spear is better than the the original rainbow six for both the pc and the playstation. I reccomed renting this game for the playstation but buying it for the pc.

FOREWORD: In the early 1950's, J. William Peterson had an idea. The wealthy frozen food tycoon suggested putting icecream on a stick. "Your crazy," most Americans said upon hearing his idea (Spaniards exclaimed, "to esta loco, hombre!"). People of that age thought only cured meats belonged on a stick. Notwithstanding popular sentiment, Peterson moved forward on the project, and today, of course, a seemingly unlimited variety of types, flavors and brands of icecream bars are available at your local food market. I reference this historical point as premise for the instant Playstation Review, for I am rather known solely for my consideration and appraisal of today's popular music. However, much like J.W. Petersen, I too have decided to branch out from the expected, and hereby offer the following:

As you may have read should you subscribe to "The Atlantic Frozen Food Monthly," I recently made mobile iceream parlor history by selling my 1,000,000 Bomb-Pop. I celebrated in-style by treating myself to a Carvel CookiePuss icecream cake, and by installing a 5-inch television and a playstation in my icecream truck. The first game I purchased was "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear." Happier with my decision, I could not be. The game delivers heart-pounding excitment along with graphics so realistic, I often forget that I am parked at a roadside truckstop off I-95. The game offers more exotic weapons to choose from than Baskin Robbins has flavors. My favorite is the knife. Plus, the 13 levels promises to keep me occupied for some time to come; I don't think I'll get bored of this game like I did my hampster.

If I have one criticism, it is that you are limited in the characters you can play. When I purchased this game, I expected to be able to maneuver Tom Clancy. You cannot. Therefore, if you are considering buying "Rogue Spear" to see if you can make Tom Clancy duck and weave, you'd be well served to try a different game. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with the latest addition of "Rainbow Six." Bottom Line: 5 Stars. Fin.

Rogue Spear should have stayed with the PC/Mac Platform

As a rainbow six fan, I must say that Rogue Spear for the playstaton is a real disapointment and that i don't understand the adulation given to it by the other reviewers. The game play is difficult (not worth the challenge) and the grafix are lackluster (specifically the colors, which are dark and don't allow for detail). The playstation interpretation of rainbow six gets kicked to the curb by the versions available for the PC/Mac. This game is an unsuccessful cross-over attempt, where everything that makes it a great game on the PC platform is lost.

hell yeah!

Bravo Bravo. This is some of Tom Clancys best work. I loved this game and I couldnt put it down. Between all the stratiegic levels the awesome campaign missions this has to be the best game in the world. I do have to admit that this game is not for little kids for 3 reasons. #1 It is way to strategic for younger children. #2 The controls require big hands that can reach the R1,R2,L1,and L2 buttons. #3 This one is very little. But if you have the blood on it may be to violent for younger children. But overall it was the best game I ever played.

Who ever thinks this game is great has never played the Syphon Filter series. The game has fair graphics, yet lacks in so much. The aiming goes for you (which I don't mind TOO much) but one or two shots and you're dead. Go a little too far around the corner by trying to see what's ahead and you die. This game was WAY below my expectations and I am sick of it. If you want a good shooter with some real content and fun, get the Syphon Filter series. If you want a challenging, every move you have to think about game, get SWAT 3 (except it's for computers)

Horrible game!!!

I rented this game and it had some of the worst gameplay I have ever seen. If you are not a really good gamer you might have difficulty beating the game.
