Censorship is a *****!

While I have to give it some stars for being wolf3d at heart this doesn't quite cut it. All swastikas have been removed as so not to offend anyone. Nazi speak english and die bloodlessly. Hitler has shaved his trademark mustache and changed his name to Staatmeister. Worst of all the censorship that nintendo did was change the dogs into mutant rats. So in summation it's kinda like the PC but is horrendously censored.

Not the same, but ok

Wolfenstein is one of the first 3d games I ever played, so for old times sake, I felt compelled to order it recently. To begin with, this game is hard as heck to find now, but I got lucky and landed a copy for the SNES, which I also recently accquired. When I played this game on a freind's PC 10 years ago, it was addicting, and I would stay for hours playing this game. At the time, the graphics and layout were spectacular. I finally got my game in the mail, popped it in and was shocked at how much this great classic was modified and butchered. Hitler's trademark mustache was gone, no Nazi symbols, and the dogs were turned into rats!! What Nazi guard ever spoke english? Also, the music in the first level sounded as if it came from some cheap porno flick. Why, Nintendo, for the sake of being politically correct, would you alter such a classic game? This is one of the games that drew many to the next-gen era of gaming. Nevertheless, I will get the most out of this game and hang onto it, as I don't have a PC of my own yet, and it wasn't made for the playstation. In addition, as mentioned, it is extremely hard to find now. It's not totally bad, but not great either. It is a great classic, but it ain't DOOM

All they had to do was Transfer the original

I have to agree with everyone here on the censorship issue. I was extremely ______ because it was _______ !!! (use whatever cuss words you find necessary). I guess they were worried about getting in trouble, like getting a bad name, racist issues or whatever. You know how some people are, they would start something and I guess that's what they're thinking. Anyways, the original Wolfenstein 3D is classic, just like Doom. The SNES version is in no comparison but it's still worth playing. This game is pretty rare now. If you beat Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War, you will be able to play the original.
