The best expanison pack ever!

I must say C&C has done the best work i had ever seen it do on any game. I love all the new units and new objects that you have to beet. They equally balance out each side (GDI or NOD). The new units are very cool and geared up with powerful weapons. Hopfully they will creat another Command and Conquer game so me and other millions of people can play them.

Only good in multiplayer mode

I finished Firestorm in 2 days. Its mission are real easy. So if you are buying it only for the game against the computer it aint worth its money. But if you enjoy the multiplayer mode, its worth buying. I played Tiberian Sun only in ther Internet and its fun. And with all the units from Firestorm it is much more fun. Especially the Mobile War Factory and the Jiggernouts kicks ass. Sorry for my bad English - its because Im from Germany. Conclusion: If u want to play the game in the net or network - BUY IT! If u just want to play against the computer - it aint worth the money you pay for it.

Don't buy this package....

For the same price you can get tiberian sun along with this expansion pack. Why pay [this much] just for this? Get the combination pack called "fire power" for the same price and you will have an additional TS game to share with a friend. That package also provides you with a TS soundtrack CD which is pretty cool to listen to. As for the firestorm pack i would say it provides some nice additions. Several additional units on each side and some minor changes to some units that westwood thought would help the competiveness. They do. For example GDI jump jet infantry have been given better range and the ability to see cloaked units and structures. They have added the juggernaut to the GDI which is similar to the nod artillery. Another neat addition is the mobile war factory that is available for both the nod and the GDI. The nod is gifted with a multiple missile launcher. Of course you get several new maps which are bigger and better than the TS ones. The firestorm map editor provides the opportunity to make some really neat maps. Unfortunately none of these maps will work without the firestorm disc in case you have a friend who doesn't have it. Also firestorm brings a slightly improved steamlined look for some units. Not a big change but the firestorm graphics seem just a bit cleaner and sharper.

That brings us to the main reason for buying any expansion pack. The missions. Firestorm gives you 18 original missions(9 for each side) and they are all fun and well thought out. These missions assume you already know how to play the game and include some creative additions you have not seen before. The video included is actually pretty good and very entertaining. I highly recommend them.

As for multiplay there are also many exellent additions yet they lack popularity. While it's still fairly easy to find a game at the TS site the number of firestorm players is somewhat limited. Westwood came up with the neat idea of having a "tour for world domination". A site where you can take the gdi or nod and fight against the other side for the purpose of defending territory for your side or taking territory from the other side. For this purpose westwood sets up games yet you will find very few people to play them.

In short tiberian sun is a game that is still a great deal of fun with graphics and game play that are still up to date today. Firstorm is a worthy expansion pack but it's simply not worth the price when you can get the fire power package for the same cost.

Best add on to a game - not a mission pack

C&C: TS is a fantastic game. Firestorm just adds to the excitement. With new units such as Juggernaut (GDI finally as long-range power), cyborg reaper (my fav), limpit drones, jump jet infantry, mobile EMP cannon, and mobile stealth generator, firestorm really gets fans on fire with its interesting new units. The story revolves around Nod's computer AI, Cabaal, but i'm not spilling any details. The really HUGE robot at the end of both sides is pretty cool The game has a good story and plot twist and centers around the gamer - not some actor as in TS. Overall, this game extends the on-going life of the C&C universe.

Not Quite Up To Par

I was somewhat dissapointed in the fact that C&C 2 did not add to the RTS genre, even though it is my favorite game. However, much like Red Alert's expansion packs, this one adds too many units that are one man armies that can level you or your opponent VERY quickly. This ruined the playbalance. It makes for a blast in multiplayer though, because you get armies of the big dudes... The single player expansion leaves lots to be desired.

Could have been much better....

This game could have been much better. There are only 9 new missions for each side. There are only about four new units for each side. The vidio clips are horrible beyond belief. The new storyline isnt very interesting, and in most of the missions you get very limited technology, so you dont get to use the new units very much.

Its great

I just love all the new tactics you can now use with all the new units. This pack made me change all my fighting strategies. I love this expansion, its an expansion I wish they had to begin with. GDI now has long range weapons, and the Nod now get some more fierce items to use. I have to say, the Firestorm experience isn't complete unless you get this expansion. It also build on to the story of this series. This is part II of the normal command and conquer games (Tiberian dawn, Tiberian sun, and soon to come Tiberian Twilight [I think]).

I don't have the Firestorm Expansion but I do have the original game. If you think the computer is pathetic try level two instead of bein' a wuss. They Really put up a fight(usually). Or even better try it on the internet its a blast. Everybody on there is pretty good and you'll usually lose.

I was Highly disappointed in this game.. I was expecting a challanging C&C game but instead all I got was an easy game with units that look like cartoons on a beautiful background.. DON'T BUY IT!

I think Tiberian Sun Firestorm is one of the most creative add-ons available. There is no other real-time strategy comparison!
