Mercenary goes down even deeper...

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 10 / 13

Play the Dark side from the Dravis point of view and hope you are rid of that Material Defender once and for all. Battle mayhem like you've never played before--NASTY BOTS! Mercenaries loading includes files that really enhance the already stunning graphics. Contacted Interplay and the second expansion pack is also about to be released...so much for my degree! Use the sleek new BLACK PYRO--play on an empty stomach. Forget which way is up!

motion sickness alert

The graphics are good for a win95 game, but I couldn't get passed the motion sickness given by this type of game (flying through tunnels). I've been only slightly affected by some first person shooters (not enough to quit), but this is the first game that made me horribly nauseated. It works on winXP, if you want to throw up.

Best series of Games...

The Descent series of games are just the best... I started playing multi-player Descent(1) and Descent(2) games back in the mid-90's and just became interested again... I remember why I loved them so much...

You'll want a joystick

This was also my first introduction to multiplayer gaming. A fully 3-D environment in which one can become completely immersed. You'll want a joystick to play this one as there are a LOT of controls to manipulate. Definitely dated, but still a blast to play.

Excellent Fun!

I enjoyed every level of the Mercenary expansion pack. I highly recommend it to and Descent fan who has not played it.

Awesome

The title of this listing might say Descent 3: Mercenary, but you will actually get both Descent 3 and Descent 3: Mercenary expansion (if you get it directly from Amazon.com, that is). The item picture is correct.

Plus, the game itself is lots of fun, and a worthy addition to your collection. :)
