Empire Earth is going to be one of the best strategy games if not the best strategy game for along time. It will leave gamers with their mouths wide open. This game is packed with action and fun that will make you want to play it everyday and forget about everything else. With you commanding submarines, airplanes, battletanks, and about everything you can think of, you will be having the time your life you have been waiting for. Empire Earth is going to be/is an absolute awesome game. The only thing is you will need to be up to date on graphics card sound card and RAM to play this game and to enjoy this game. I personally think its the best of the best!!!

This has to be the worst video game purchase I have ever made.
I really regret the [money] plus tax that I spent on this.
I m surprised so many people like this game.
Let me tell you why to me this game is a complete failure.
They are trying to mix all the game genres into one, hoping that that would make it the best game ever.

First, they try to imitate Age of Empires (even in the Title!) which as we know is quite popular as an RTS. But you only get the worst aspects about AOE: a slow and confusing RTS, this one is almost unplayable.

Second, they wanted to add a bit of "Civilization-like" aspect to the game. Even make it a strategy game I guess. Well here are the different strategic options: Kill your ennemies, conquer your ennemies, mind control your ennemies, destroy your ennemy, and whatever your choice is, make it fast, before you run out of missiles of course.

Third, the game is also an RPG. You have characters, points to allow to the different abilities of your civilization. (ahem)
This is "really cool" if you know what I mean.

Finally, I dont care what people say, this game looks ugly, the sprites look like squished fruitflies on your screen, and they move about as fast as a bunch of tetraplegic snails.

Nice cinematics though.
Good Job Sierra

It's weak

My first impression after playing it is, it's lame. The action is very slow. Everything on the screen it too small. Who really cares how good the graphics are if they are too small to see. The voices that repeat continuously when you move a citizen, boat or soldier, really gets annoying fast. I play a lot of AOE and I was really disappointed with Empire Earth...

the options

For those who like games such as Age of Empires and Age of Empires Two, then this game is just for you. Finding as much facts on EE as i could, and i found recordings of Rick Goodman (Lead Designer of Age of Empires)talking about the options on this game, such as certains attributes you can give ur troops, like armor, or damage, the 12 epochs you can go through, or where ever u wanna start, also in the map editor, movies can be created for your games, becuase of the 3-d environmt. which brings me to this next one about u veiw points wheather u want it far away like on age, or right down in the chaos. But one of the most exciting feature is the custom civilization option, with over 100 attributs to it u can customize and build your civilization the way you want it. now that ive covered this, ill close out to say the EE is the rts of 2001-2002. Which is why i give it 5 stars.

Same concept, improved engine

The game is fun to play if you haven't exhausted yourself to death playing the AOE sequels. For those of us who have, it's a small novelty that now you can play the same game in 3D, which btw was available in Home World for ages, and you can play the whole history of mankind. These are great improvments, but basically the same old star craft idea behind the "strategy" part.

Here we go again

Oh brother, not another AoE, C&C, StarCraft clone. In fact, it sounds like they just took all of those games and put them into one long one. Hey guys, Wake up! These RTS games are all exactly the same! How many times can you gather the same three or four resources, upgrade your units and fight repetitive battles over and over before you realize that its not really a "strategy" game anymore? Have some originality and try a real historical simulation strategy game like Europa Universalis.

The best single game in 500,000 years of human existence

This is the ultimate RTS, and by far the greatest game ever. I doubt you could spend your money on a better game. Through multiplayer games, singleplayer games, campaings and custom scenerios Empire Earth sets the standards for all RTS's to come.

Best Strategy game out there

I have always loved Rts like starcraft aoe2 warcraft everything u can think of.
This game goes from Prehistoric age all the way to nano age (far futur)
personally i dont play the futur too much but its great to have it.
My favorite Ages or epocs r WW1, WW2 and modern
Im a big fan of senario editors too, so far i have made awsome levels like Pearl harbor, Dday, desert storm, ww1 trench warfare, any kind of battle in history you can make on senario builder.
what i find fun somtimes is put nano age mech warriors and lazer infantry angainst an enormous army of clubmen and stone trowers and whatch them get anihilated. or just nuke them all with b52s or b29s
Also with this game come awsome airplanes which is really important to me.
you get sopwit cammels and fokers in ww1 as long as a bomber
you get spitfires, mechersmiths, b17s b29s p41 p38 lighting So many planes
modern age is f15 f14 f117 b2 b52
anyways
wether you want to play civil war battles, roman battles, knight battles, ww1-2 battles, even modern nuke sub warfare, or even futuristic mech warriors and plasma cannons, whatever suits you, or why not play them all in one game.

one nice thing is you can zoom in and out and get real up close to the battle, just about eye lvl.
if you like RTS this will be you favorite game untill somone does the same thing with better grafics

solid

It is just an all around good game from an educational standpoint and a action and strategy player standpoint. It covers so many years you get to see how the world reletively developed.
