Welcome to Advanced Dungeons and Destruction!

This may be the best NON-RPG full-action fantasy game I've ever played. The game focuses on applying quick and dirty fighting tactics against a host of the most realistic orcs and beasts you'll ever meet on a PC screen.
The basic bad-guys are very creepy and real, but to the game's discredit, enemies never attempt to evade, and bodies disappear.

You eventually get access to several (12+?) different characters, each very different. You learn the abilities of each while running like hell through a very realistic mediaeval world. Lighting, graphics, and sound are incredible! So darn
convincing, you'll be glad you bought this game. Not too much strategy here, a litttle... but most importantly, you will HACK, SLASH, and SORCERY your way to victory. I'm playing on the HARD difficulty setting, but if you're impatient, play EASY difficulty setting, and advance the levels quickly! I've only advanced to the third level so far (after 2 hours), the levels are short and intense.

This game is a cross between Tomb Raider and Gauntlet, more real than Die By The Sword.
There seem to be very few Dungeon related hack-n-slash games like this on the market. I think I need to acquire them all.

I've heard some hard-core gamers say that Enclave bored them. So, if you want an innovative, ground-breaking, mind-expanding, platform-strategy game, this is not it.

Do you like heavy-metal music, fantasy, and action games? Do you complain about too many controls and buttons on game-controllers these days? Then you'll love Enclave.

An okay game...but not for the hardcore gamer

The game does have great graphics and has a fun hack-and-slash style, but the game is beyond easy. I've only played the demo so far, but from what I played, it wasn't much. The light campaign's first level took me five minutes to beat on the hardest difficulty. Then I played the dark campaign. This was slightly harder and took me 15 minutes, still not much. The only reason it took so long was because I kept backtracking to get all the gold. The game doesn't offer much of a challenge, and it gets boring after the first time through.

Overlooked Gem

I look for 5 things in a game: 1)good gameplay ... 2)good story (especially if RPG) ... 3)no/few fixable bugs ... 4)no anti-piracy bs ...5)decent graphics
I'll admit, this game can be frustratingly hard.
Being physically disabled/very litlle manual dexterity does make it much more difficult, but luckily, Enclave had cheat codes(... I think all games should have them).
So, if you run into a really rough part, use them; then turn them off.
This games doesn't rely on killing and re-killing to level up, instead you search for treasure.
The more you find, the better you can equip your character ... trust me; find all you can :-)
Like the two separate campaigns. Though the "Dark" with the Sorc is easier.
It's fun to cover the whole map ... jumping, swimming and running around like a fool looking for treasure
The "treasure total" is on the screen, so you know how much there is on a map ... whether you might want to redo it
Think about the games we've purchased in the last year with ... bugs; one unfinished; companies stop releasing official patches(... thank you to the gamers for the unofficial patches); anti-piracy bs; poor/short gameplay etc...
You can even go back, use inferior characters + cheat codes ... see how many times you would die and redo till you feel like you made an honest effort
The characters are "different", so you can have fun experimenting :-)
I hope they make a sequel.
Maybe the "Light" will have a strong character this time :-)
One note: the "Light" ending was "throw the kitchen sink at you" ... I thought that ruined the flow of the game
Actually the final few maps were very difficult ?
Maybe it's my poor game-playing; the weaker characters ?

Lousy Conrol ruins game

There is a fun plot to Enclave. Unfortunately the controller settings are unnatural and the "camera angle" switches enough to make you sick. It is impossible to see what's going on from a steady view. It tries to simultaneously be a 3rd person game and a 1st person game. Any movement can cause the view to spin or squirrel around. It is entirely inexcusable. That this sort of problem was allowed to persist into the finished version of the game shows a disdain for serious gamers.
On another note, the enemies are stupid, slow and too easy to kill.

Enclave is fun to play. The gameplay is straightforward as the story featuring a balance magic and battle system. Don't expect too much from it and you'll not be disappointed. If completing a particular level is troublesome switching between characters proved quite handy. Bad A.I. is another frustrating feature of this game. The game is pretty easy to beat when there is a single enemy to beat but when there are multiple enemies to fight the game is ridiculously tough. Some baddies can't even jump across ledges and most of the times fell into the gap. And I never saw any enemy change his tactics from offensive to defensive even if his health is literally down to nothing. There are little flaws like at one time an Orc seemed to be suspended in mid air while jumping from a ledge. Another major flaw is that the blood doesn't seem to fall on the ground; instead it disappears in mid air. But, these glitches do not affect the overall performance of the game.

an amazing experience

i have just played the demo and have been stunned by the amazing graphics and the actual game play. It is totally respoonsive and full of indepth detail. The colours and detail of the buildings and characters is very good and very realistic regaurding movement. Cant wait for the release.
Keep up the good work black label.

Great game, but really should have included multiplayer...

If you've played and enjoyed Rune, then you will love this game. This is a very good hack and slash game, there should be more of these in the market today. It has excellent game play and some spectacular graphics. If you like hack/slash games you will love this. My only complaint is, where is the multiplayer???

I love this game!

I give this game five stars because the storyline is easy to follow and I can get through the levels easily without too much trouble. First off you get to choose what side you want to be on, the Light Campaign or the Dark Campaign. You get to pick from easy, medium or hard game play but the levels are no different no matter what setting you pick. A little disappointing but not enough to really bug me. You can choose from 12 different characters six on each side. On the Light Campaign you start off as the Knight. On the Dark Campaign you play the asassin at the beginning eventually earning all characters after you pass certain levels. The Light side you choose from the Druid, Huntress, Knight, Engineer, the halfling and the wizard. On the Dark side you play the asassin, orc bombardier, sorceress, Arch Lich, Berserker or the goblin. Easy to play after you get a feel for it and mucho on the fun! The storyline is easy to follow and interesting. A huge battle was fought and the outcome of it was a rift separated the two sides. You have to depending on what side you choose, fight your enemies collecting gold along the way in order to buy better weapons and such, and defeat Mordessa and the demon King Vatar or kill the queen of Celenheim. Easy to play except one level I cannot pass after playing it for the umpteenth time, is the hard setting of Hagastrom. But not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the game. This level is optional to pass. Overall, I really like the game and can continue to play it from beginniong to end. I highly recommend it.

If you are into frustration...this is your game!

The only thing worse than a boring PC game is one that you cannot win. In their over-exuberance to create a masterpiece of graphic design the developers of this gothic horror forgot something. When you frustrate your audience to tears they take your game and throw it against a wall. Save your money folks. By level 8 (if you make it that far) this bad boy will end up fragments in your trash can!

Poorly Done Game

Had so many graphics glitches that I couldn't even play it...scenes would load w/ no map at all. I have a laptop w/ an ATI Radeon 7200 series card driver and DirectX 9. When the maps did load properly, the game play was exceedingly easy and no challenge at all. I wish I could get my $30 back, but the package was already opened and I don't have a shrink wrap machine.
