This is an ALL IN ONE PACKAGE don't buy any other EQ2 Expaintion

EoF is the best EQ2 expaintion todate and has really improved the game drimaticly. You do however still need a relitivly higher end gaming rig to play it at the medium quality settings I recomend an ATI 9700, and 2gigs of ram Minimum. As my title says this is also an All in One pack in that it also contains the Base Game, and the other 2 retail expaintions Kingdom of Sky and Desert of Flames.

FYI-- Chronicles of Faydwer Includes Both Previous X-Packs

I would like to inform anyone who is looking to buy this product, just to purchase the Chronicles of Faydwer instead of their special offer (Chronicles of Fay + Kingdom of Sky) as this product includes the previous two x-packs already (Kingdom of Sky and Desert of Flames). The interesting part is that amazon.com did not include a screenshot of the back of the box, which states that this product includes the full EQ2 game plus the previous two x-packs. And, I have emailed amazon.com on this and sent a review of the product to them, including a link to SOE's shop website that includes the same description as the back of the Fey x-pack's box. Yet, they have not removed their special offer yet.

EverQuest 2 is a FANTASTIC game. BUT - dont buy this version. Wait. In November 2007, a new expansion, called The Rise of Kunark is coming out. At that time you will be able to buy it, and ALL PREVIOUS expansions for the same price Amazon is selling EoF for.

I think this is a great game for all ages and styles of play. PVP on PVP servers only, standard play on standard play servers, and an easy interface fast to leard. The players seem very helpful and easy going. I would recamend downloading the map addition on [...]

An expansion worth buying

If you're looking for a good expansion to for EQ2, this is the only one worth getting. Especially since it comes with all prior expansions. But by adding the entire continent of Faydwer and two new races to the mix, it's definitely the one that gives you the best value for your money.

Great game!

OK I just started playing a few nights ago, and for all those who loved the original Everquest, will love this game. It's such a great game because it's all different, but with that same feel that the original one gave you. I love the fact that tradeskills are pushed along a little more at younger lvls, and not so open ended. The graphics have gotten a complete overhaul and I think it looks great. Whenever you start a new game, it seems like your always kinda lost trying to find what to do next, but this game does a great job of guiding you right fromt he beginning and slowly letting up to allow you to do as you wish. If you have never tried Everquest, I would definitely recommend EQ 2, as it is a wonderful game!

Just can not compare to World of Warcraft. I stopped playing WOW several months ago because it was just so addictive and requires too much time. I was hoping Everquest would have shorter quests and be less involved. I guess I got what I was looking for. I found Everquest to be extremely boring and the quests are too easy an 8 year old can complete them. Overall the gaming is a copy of WOW, just not as good.

I spent a lot of hours downloading the demo version (the "Play the Fae" promo), and I had nothing but problems with it. After spending a lot of time setting up all the keyboard commands to my liking, I turned on the VSync option, which requires you to restart the game. This resulted in a garbage screen, forcing me to reset my computer. Upon restarting the game, the VSync option was now off, and all my keyboard settings were gone. And I have to say the graphics were not impressive considering the fairly poor framerate I seemed to be getting. While I quit WoW over its grotesque character depictions (steroidal males and sex doll females), it certainly had better looking graphics with far smoother framerates and none of the bugginess I encountered with EQII.

On a minor note, I would add that EQII offers too many character customization options, considering that many of them only result in extremely subtle differences in appearance.

In short, I would not try EQII again and will view future offerings with extreme skepticism. It is ridiculous for a game this old to have bugs like this.

Play Everquest 2 Today!

I recently played this amazing game....I have played a role playing called Dragon Quest back in the old Nintendo 8-bit game days and have not played a role playing game since then til I out of the blue had decided to find out what the Everquest stuff was all about.

I found out the 2nd installment was made and decided to give it a try....I wasn't expecting it be as cut-and-dry as the old Dragon Quest game was by any means; I was quite impressed though by the sophistication of todays games of this genre.

When I played Everquest 2: the Echoes of Faydwer for the first time I learned it was a subscription-based game AND also it is a game that is played on several servers and some of those servers allow different capabilities for the players such as trading things in the game amongst themselves.

I was thrilled that I wasn't just alone in this virtual world but can meet up with other players who are controlling their characters they chose to play. One player I encountered in the game helped me with beating some of the creatures when I was in the first few levels. I wished I could have been in his group permenently, though.

I like the fact that this game is expanding and changing, hence the name Everquest. I read it has over 300 levels! I will never be bored with this game. It's challenging but at the same time I dom't get too frustrated with the set-backs that happen because I try to learn to use a different approach or come back to a tough area when my character I am controlling is better prepared.

When I get my next batch of disposable income I will definitely pay for a year's subscription in advance so my gameplay won't be interrupted so soon.

I hope you like this review and have learned something from it if you're a newbie. One of my characters' names is darrfi.

Maybe I will see you there sometime if you decide to join, too. Look me up in a month or 2 from now.

Thanks for reading.

Game takes to long to load up both starting and during play...

To much dialogue from charcters trying to teach the game while the game itself gives little or no information from the small booklet received.

When I finished all the quests in the first area, I then went to the city and found absolutely no way to level up. My character is literally stuck in level 9 because the only place to level up is in the sewers...fun!!!

Just not enough creatures to help you get up to the levels in order to complete quests in the cities. Cannot go outside the cities, not strong enough. The rats can kill you!

Anyone playing should never leave the first area until they get to level 13-15 or more..

Another problem, the more characters you create, the slower the game gets, have to wait forever to load up. Game has a lot of lag!

Characters are great! They have some real personality.

I would have to say, this game is actually harder then World Of Warcraft, it needs to be simplified in all areas, everything, from talents to spells etc.

Got so tired of waiting for it to load up, I lost interest!
