One of the best online games on the market

This expansion was really great. New race, new starting city and lots of stuff to keep you occupied for months.

Great game. Loved it

I love the fact that this game comes with everything included. I decided to join the everquest game and bought this. I was able to install and start the game without having to buy anything else.

Best addition so far

This has to be the best addition to EQ2 that they have made, the content in this is an entire game of its own! It also doesn't include a few of the things that really annoyed me in the main game, like having to load between levels. The only thing is that I wish there were a way for my evil characters to defect right to Faydwer rather than having to defect to Queynos then move over.

DONT BUY THIS VERSION!!!

EverQuest 2 is a FANTASTIC game. BUT - dont buy this version. Wait. In November 2007, a new expansion, called The Rise of Kunark is coming out. At that time you will be able to buy it, and ALL PREVIOUS expansions for the same price Amazon is selling EoF for.

An expansion worth buying

If you're looking for a good expansion to for EQ2, this is the only one worth getting. Especially since it comes with all prior expansions. But by adding the entire continent of Faydwer and two new races to the mix, it's definitely the one that gives you the best value for your money.

FYI-- Chronicles of Faydwer Includes Both Previous X-Packs

I would like to inform anyone who is looking to buy this product, just to purchase the Chronicles of Faydwer instead of their special offer (Chronicles of Fay + Kingdom of Sky) as this product includes the previous two x-packs already (Kingdom of Sky and Desert of Flames). The interesting part is that amazon.com did not include a screenshot of the back of the box, which states that this product includes the full EQ2 game plus the previous two x-packs. And, I have emailed amazon.com on this and sent a review of the product to them, including a link to SOE's shop website that includes the same description as the back of the Fey x-pack's box. Yet, they have not removed their special offer yet.

This is it! This package includes EVERYTHING you need!

Just so you know, EQII Echoes of Faydwer has the full EQII game with both the prior expansions.

It's fantastic!

Came back after playing WoW, and WOW I love this game!

Basically title says it all. I left few months after EQ2 released to play WoW. Enjoyed WoW untill I realized it's dumbed down so much I needed something more challenging but not as hardcore as when I played EQ 1. EQ2 has revitalized itself and me. So many of us are coming back to play it and couldn't be happier. I almost wish I never would of left, but then again I probably wouldn't appreciate it as much as I do now. Graphically is amazing and I can play it WIDE OPEN, unlike Vanguard. Seems they really hit the mark with EoF.

Game takes to long to load up both starting and during play...

To much dialogue from charcters trying to teach the game while the game itself gives little or no information from the small booklet received.

When I finished all the quests in the first area, I then went to the city and found absolutely no way to level up. My character is literally stuck in level 9 because the only place to level up is in the sewers...fun!!!

Just not enough creatures to help you get up to the levels in order to complete quests in the cities. Cannot go outside the cities, not strong enough. The rats can kill you!

Anyone playing should never leave the first area until they get to level 13-15 or more..

Another problem, the more characters you create, the slower the game gets, have to wait forever to load up. Game has a lot of lag!

Characters are great! They have some real personality.

I would have to say, this game is actually harder then World Of Warcraft, it needs to be simplified in all areas, everything, from talents to spells etc.

Got so tired of waiting for it to load up, I lost interest!

Play Everquest 2 Today!

I recently played this amazing game....I have played a role playing called Dragon Quest back in the old Nintendo 8-bit game days and have not played a role playing game since then til I out of the blue had decided to find out what the Everquest stuff was all about.

I found out the 2nd installment was made and decided to give it a try....I wasn't expecting it be as cut-and-dry as the old Dragon Quest game was by any means; I was quite impressed though by the sophistication of todays games of this genre.

When I played Everquest 2: the Echoes of Faydwer for the first time I learned it was a subscription-based game AND also it is a game that is played on several servers and some of those servers allow different capabilities for the players such as trading things in the game amongst themselves.

I was thrilled that I wasn't just alone in this virtual world but can meet up with other players who are controlling their characters they chose to play. One player I encountered in the game helped me with beating some of the creatures when I was in the first few levels. I wished I could have been in his group permenently, though.

I like the fact that this game is expanding and changing, hence the name Everquest. I read it has over 300 levels! I will never be bored with this game. It's challenging but at the same time I dom't get too frustrated with the set-backs that happen because I try to learn to use a different approach or come back to a tough area when my character I am controlling is better prepared.

When I get my next batch of disposable income I will definitely pay for a year's subscription in advance so my gameplay won't be interrupted so soon.

I hope you like this review and have learned something from it if you're a newbie. One of my characters' names is darrfi.

Maybe I will see you there sometime if you decide to join, too. Look me up in a month or 2 from now.

Thanks for reading.
