Ever since I was 6 years old, I loved watching Scooby Doo on TV. And now am 10 and I still enjoy it. So when I heard about the game, I bought it immediately. It was great! It was fun searching though 6 levels for clues and stuff. I like the game because its unique. Its a combination of adventure and mystery. You play as Fred, Daphne, Velma and my favorites Shaggy and Scoody. But enough. Am going to give you my personal opinion on Classic Creep Capers' graphics etc.

Graphics: 8.0 {great} Nice and Solid!

Sound: 7.0 {good} No voices but great soundtrack from the show.

Frustration: 1.0 {great} Not frustrating at all!

Controls: 7.5 {good} Nice and basic.

Overall: 9.0 {wonderful} What is there to say?

If your a Scooby Doo fan at the age of 7 or older, or just looking for something differant I recomend Classic Creep Capers. As Scooby would say, Scooby Dooby Doo!

What a blast-it is so nice to see some refreshing gameplay for the Gameboy. "Scooby Doo Classic Creep Capers' is very similar to the old classic "Maniac Mansion"-which was the best NES game ever. Anyway one you select your character, you snoop your way around an old mansion in search of a ghost/thief.The graphics are really super and the animation is top notch. You can see the tiny lips of the characters move-a cute little thing. The gameplay is very similar to "Maniac Mansion"-you walk around picking up object to use in a certain situation. The game really may appeal to younger kids, but it may be too confusing for them. The art of sleuthing is too complex and may leave some kids popping in the next Pokemon. Older kids and adults will find this a good title.Although it does have many similarities to the fore mentioned "Maniac Mansion" it lacks the depth of that game. You are, for the most, part allowed to roam the house uninterrupted, which seems a little anti-climatic. Also a big downfall is that the game itself is way too short. It may take a good gamer only a few hours(I am taking one of two) to beat it. That makes the gameplay feel incomplete and rushed. In the end "Scooby Doo..." is a welcomed addition of the Gameboy aresenal. The characters are cute and the story is very Scooby-ish-give it a try and find out for yourself.

Nice Role Playing Game

I definitely DISAGREE with the other reviews that state this game is for the younger crowd. I would say this is more for the 7 and OLDER crowd. Theres lots of reading and skills of observation and problem solving are required. This game takes patience, it does not provide instant gratification. The first couple chapters seem straight forward enough but the game definitely increases in difficulty as the game progresses. Great graphics too! Overall, Scooby fans and role playing fans should be pleased.

My six year old found this game to be very frustrating and too hard. He also did not like having to switch back and forth between the characters.

frustrating for little kids

My son wanted this because he is a big Scooby Doo fan, however, he was very disappointed with the game. The problem is that you have to be able to read and understand the clues given in order to play the game. He just started kindergarten and can not read yet. This may be a great game - I'm not sure. But if your child can not read then I would not recommend this game.

not sure it's for 5's

We just got this game and it seems like there is a lot of reading involved. Not sure if it will be one of my 5 year old's favorites.

If you are a Scooby Doo fan, then you need to add this to your collection. It is a very fun game for the Gameboy system. Not too difficult to the point of frustration. To me, a game should be fun and challenging, not frustrating like some games, and this game will challenge you without the frustration. If you are looking for a nice game for a child, young adult, or yourself then I would recommend this for your Gameboy.

This game has great graphics and looks a lot like the classic cartoon. The only thing is you only solve one mystery, the one with Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, and its really easy. This would be great for kids, otherwise its too easy.

I'm hooked!

My son received this game as a gift and gave it to me to try. I loved it! I can't play a lot of the fast paced, hand & eye coordination games, so this was perfect for me! I like the fact that you can't get killed, but you have to think to solve the mystery!

Best Game ever!!!!!!!!

Scooby Doo:Classic Creep Capers is the best because you get to go into a mansion and a secret lab just to be warned at first I really wanted to sale this game but what you need to do it read every word that a charter has to say trust me on that one Write down the passwords and to starts out the game if you just got this game or something you will be Scooby and Shaggy but push select and go over to where it says Velma and then you will be Velma not Shaggy I will say no more about how to beat that level but there is more to it!
