Fable-very fun game to play

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 4

This game is a lot of fun to play. The graphics are great. I wish it took longer to play. I finished it in 30 hours and I took my time. Regardless, I really enjoyed the game and would recommend it for all ages.

Awesome Game

I must say I cannot believe it took me so long to know of this game. The game is really good. When given a quest, you are given the option to choose several paths so you can choose the outcome and later affecting the game. You can cast pretty neat spells, but I think it could be better if you could transform into a creature of some type, or at least summon one. The world is fairly large with a lot of places to go, although the areas can sometimes be a little narrow. One feature I love is that your gear appears on your character, so you can choose how he looks whenever you want. Overall a great game, if a second part is to be released I will most definitely buy it.

GREAT GAME! A MUST PLAY!

This is a must buy!
Pros- Great customization/amazing fighting styles/ good magic effects/cautious approach, gorrilla tactic, and full on charge are just some of the tactics that the amazing AI has prepared for.
Cons-Bad shadow resolution/ Currently has a bug where you have to run in compatibility mode/ Kill Bill type kills, Ex: you chop someone's head off and blood sprays twenty feet in every direction.

Overall- This is a great game

addicting but too much of...

I would be 5 on this one all the way, because I enjoyed the game immensly (the general idea of the game), but because of personal preference I stopped playing it because of excessive gore, sexual/debasing themes, and leud art. If you like this game but don't want all the questionable material (yes, I know that it's nothing compared to other games) then may I recommend "Fate" by wildtangent

An excellent game for both adults and children

The game Fable: The Lost Chapters is from Microsoft Studious. It is an RPG game. In the game first we start off with the player who people call Lad. In the game as we move further after we have given the gift to our sister and when she says "That there is something wrong" she means the bandit attack and when we return to our home and our player saws that his father is dead, he starts crying, then the bandit tries to attack us but he is stopped by Maze.
Then we go to the Heroes Guild where we start our training how to fight the bandits, hobbes, trolls etc. In the game we can master all the three things strength, skill and will.

Strength includes -

- Physique
- Health
- Toughness

Skill includes -

- Speed
- Accuracy
- Guile

Will includes -

- Attack spells
- Surround spells
- Physical spells
- Magic power

In the game the Maze who protects us is actually trying to cheat us, who is actually in the side of Jack of Blades (our enemy if we become good). In the game we can become good or evil. If we become evil the people would be scared of us and if we become good people will love us.

Gameplay: 10/10

Graphics: 10/10

Voice: 8/10

In the game we can purchase weapons, clothes, items and potions. In my computer there is dubbing in the voice and the voice does not comes clear. (This is the problem)

I HAVE LISTED GOODS AND BADS OF THIS GAME BELOW

GOODS -

- Excellent graphics
- Good system requirements
- Addictive gameplay
- Good story lines

BADS -

- Voice dubbing
- Game quits automatically while playing

Was I just expecting too much?

I remember seeing previews for this game years ago on the Xbox, and I hated myself for not owning one. I was overjoyed to see it finally released for Windows, and with even more material as well.

I really liked this game, and I still do oddly enough. While it may be the same thing every time, it still manages to get me to come back constantly and play again. The story line is great and the plot is deep enough to keep you going.

While the game is a bit on the short side, as you may have already noted from other reviews, it seems to keep calling you back over and over again. I could probably blast though this game in one day if I was so inclined, but I found myself enjoying it for far longer than that. While the game may have fallen short of what it was destined to be (I believe the creators even admitted to this) it is still more than worth the price and time.

I would also like to say that this is quite possibly the best system port I have ever played. Not only was it moved from Xbox to PC nearly trouble free, They even added new content to the game. It may not be much (max 5 hours) not worth picking up if you already own the Xbox version, but it showed some decency on the part of the creators to put some more work into the game other than just canning it and throwing it out there for us to blow our money on.

Disappointment

Don't be fooled - Fable: the Lost Chapters is nothing more than an expansion pack (and a pretty limited one at that). I got this for my husband because we both enjoyed the original Fable, despite its shortcomings. From the way this one was marketed, you'd suppose that it was the same world, same character, with some new adventures. Instead, it's the same game with just a few added missions tacked on at the end. You have to play the entire game over again (can't import an old game from the first Fable) and in the end, for all that work you've done, you get just a few new missions. Not worth it at all.

So - if you haven't played the first, go ahead and get this one - it'll be fun. But if you have played the first, don't believe the ambiguous packaging promising something new - if you want new adventures, just get a new game.

Needs major patches, glitchy, doesn't run well.

I have three computers, will not run at all on my AMD 1.8ghz, 1g ram / 64bit Radeon. Will run, lo res, still glitches on my Dell, 1.6 ghz Celeron M with 512 ram and Intel extreme graphics.

Should run great on my Zeus custom P4 @ 3.3 ghz, 2g ram & 512 All in wonder card, but still is glitchy as hell. Looks like crap below 1024 x 768 resolution. Runs slow, control is unresponsive and slow (you press a button during a fight sequence and several seconds later the command occurs.) This gets worse the more people / graphics are involved in the fight. So one - one is okay, but add two or three enemies and the thing starts freezing.

This was originally developed for PC, not X-Box, so why it's so damned glitchy I don't know.

I love this game, wish it worked on my notebook and I don't have / can't afford an x-box! It's a great game with tons to do and is really involving. Graphics are great and the good or evil or in-between option is cool (and the heart of the game.)

I have a gaming computer built by a gaming computer company (Zeus) and it still doesn't work well. The key defaults are horrible, the control is crap and why (why?!!!) can't I use my sidewinder controller (or any other controller for that matter?) This is a great game but it's like a VHS copy, it works for crap on PC and wasn't ready for release. There are no patches (yet) I can't wait until there are and it actually works.

Should also note that they recommend you turn off all other programs, including anti-virus! Being on a cable modem and home network turning off my anti-virus is like inviting the grim reaper in! How incredibly irresponsible for Microsoft to recommend that!

Wait until patches or play on x-box.

pretty fun, but disappointing

when i got this game i was expecting an open ended epic. fable is anything but epic and is not very open ended. it was still fun though. the fighting is fast paced and mostly enjoyable but pretty much any fight can be won by simply randomly attacking. the aging and changes of your character over time is cool, but it happened so fast i hardly noticed.

the worst thing about fable is how easy it is to exploit the save system, experience system, and economy.

it's possible to get one of the best weapons in the game very early by exploiting the quest save system.

it's possible to get as much money as you want by repeatedly selling and re-buying potions to the same trader.

it's possible to level up very quickly by getting your combat multiplier high and spamming a cheap spell or attacking with a weak weapon (depending on what type of experience you want).

overall a pretty good game, but not nearly as good as i was expecting.

pros:
fun
nice graphics
nice sound
ability to be good or evil

cons:
very easy
predictible, mechanical stoyline and character interactions
easily exploited game systems

Fun but flawed game

Pros:
- Beautiful, detailed graphics (if your computer can handle it). You get to see the character age too, and the details of his scars.
- Lots of fun little side things to do. (Marry people and have sex, steal stuff, kill people secretly at night and then buy their homes or buy their shops--allows you to own an entire town)
- Nice weapons and other random items to play with
- Combat is kinda fun too, especially if you add a lot of magic to your regular fighting too. Oh and, shooting for people's heads is fun too. (You can also kick the head afterwards.)

Cons:
- Short game. 20+ hours or so. BTW, after the credits, wait like 20min and you CAN get back to the game to finish off business.
- Pretty easy game. You can be invincible halfway through if you wanted to.
- The good versus bad thing... the "bad" side doesn't have a lot of advantages... except money, which can be easily obtained anyway in other ways if you try out things a bit.
