When I first bought this game from my school fair for 5 bucks I thought, Hey its only 5 bucks. when I came home and switched on ny SNES and began playing I thought, its pretty good for a 5 buck game. After 5 weeks of playing I thought, heck this is worth 100 bucks 3 years ago but now, I'd say I'd pay 25.

Awesome......

I don't usualy give things 5 stars. Most of the Video Games I play or the Movies I watch may be 5 star movies but I usualy find a problem with it anyway. Not here! Lufia is something interesting and wonderful. It has graphics that are poor and a battle system that leaves something to be desired. Sounds bad does it not. But then you have the music... bect music for a game (except for FF VI) ever. And the story was very good, so much so that I wanted to play the game again and hope that the outcome would differ. The two good aspects make what would be an otherwise boring game a wonderful masterpeice.

Graphics--- 5/10
Play Control 8/10
Battle Style 3/10
Story 9/10
Music 10/10
Chalenge 8/10
Replay 8/10
Draws you into the game factor 12/10

Have fun and Cinnimon Tea!

IF your reading this it probably means you have played one of the other Lufia games. In a few words how can you accuratly portray an incridble game. When I played this game it was probably the 3rd RPG I'd ever played, and I was hooked. I thought wow what a great game, killer story, and that's what it's all about right. I mean graphics are nice but if the story dosen't make you want to scream out in rage, or shout with joy then well it sucks. This game has all that. Starting with the ancestors of the main charcters, leading to a destiny that most be fullied, to betrayl of the heart, questions of duty.. If your new at RPG then this is a solid one to play to lay the foundation of what a good RPG should be, and if you old school gamer this is a must have in your collection of classics.

Okay Game...

I own every game from the Lufia series and this was the first one I bought. I love RPG's and I guess this was okay, an average RPG. This is a classic RPG, the typical story, it starts out really good though, you are in the Tower of Doom and you must defeat the 4 sinsisterals and once you do, the Tower crashs into the sea and then you began to start the real game set some years after the events at the Tower of Doom. The one thing that is the best part of the game was the Music, I wish them would have made a Soundtrack it was so good.

I would only recommend this game to a hardcore RPG collecter like me and if you still own a SNES.

I played this game a few years back, and, wow, I was surprised. The story was incredibly and gameplay was simple and easy to understand. Music and graphics aren't exactly a Final Fantasy, but they were darn near close to it. Definitely a great game to own!

A stereotypical RPG clone

Lufia is another RPG, where you start off a lone warrior setting out to destroy a powerful monster who is terrorizing the world with his monster mideons. Along the way, you find two other warriors to join you on your quest, one powerful and the other a magician. The graphics to this are nothing to talk about, nor is the gameplay, and all of the equipment and items are just taken from Final Fantasy games. The huge downfall of the game, is that you can fall into predicaments where you need to restart the whole game, such as traps, where you need to have an item to escape, and this item may be somethin you missed early in the game. There is pretty fair challenge and it will take you a month to beat. Nothing new here.
