Recently video games based on a comic or movie license have been in both ends of the spectrum; very good or godawful. Midway's Justice League: Injustice For All is based from the cartoon (not the comic which also features Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Captain Marvel) and is pretty average on just about every level. You get to play as Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern and fight your way through 12 stages. Characters can be switched during levels which consist of fighting regular not much thought put into cookie cutter thugs until finally facing a boss which you must find keys to unlock the area he is in. All of the characters are rendered nicely and each of they're respective powers are here and nicely done as well (Martian Manhunter's moving through walls has been brought to the small screen with grace) but just about everything else is just average. If you take away the Justice League license you'll be left with just a run of the mill action platformer, but hey, this game could have been a lot worse. All in all, Justice League: Injustice For All may not be the best game for the GBA, but fans of the comic or cartoon should give it a look.

Very enjoyable!

After starting out with JLA Chronicles, I was a little leery of trying something new. This one is much better. The graphics are much better and the character movement is flawless. The only downside I'd give this game is the fact that Flash's speed can only be used a little before having to recharge (what else is this character good for besides running super fast? Why penalize us for using his gift?). The character selection is the same as Chronicles, but this is more of a side-scroller than the "a little from the top" screen of Chronicles. It's really cool to get to fly as Superman through Metropolis--even though that is only a small part of the gameplay. All in all, the replay value of this is good, and any fan of the JLA cartoon series will love it.

My suggestion to these game programmers...take a look at the X-Men games and give us more characters to choose from next time. Don't limit yourself to the cartoon only. The JLA has had dozens of members over time (some cool, some lame), and you could really make some great additions to the lineup next time. How about Green Arrow, The Atom, or even Plastic Man for that matter? Impress us.

Recommended.
