This game is good, but you cant design your cars, its a little difficult. If you compare it to Asphalt Urban GT it will be a sht.
Asphalt lets you design your cars, its easier and it has more stuff. The gameplay of Asphalt is much better.Asphalt haves a lot of cars,a motorcycle and a go-kart.Dont waste your money on this and buy Asphalt Urban GT.For more info. in games you can e-mail me to:jeancarlo@libertypr.net

Cool game. No biggy though. Asphalt Urban GT is better when it comes to control. Nothing special here. I say get a hold of a friends copy and try it out before buying. Better yet, wait until they slash the price...and then get it!
LATE!!!

Best Racing Game For the DS

Very good graphics and gameplay. Touch screen is utilized throughout the entire race. You use the stylus to steer. You can also play multiplayer games with one card- download play. A must buy, but if you can only choose one game- get mario.

What I think of Ridge Racer

My favorite things about the game

IT IS GREAT!! Here is 3 great things about the game: It lets you choose the exact color of the car from gold to dark red, Good graphics, and better then Metroid Prime hunters (First Hunt).

What I think of Ridge Racer:

I think it is for 7 to 12 year-olds because for 6 year-old kid it is hard to control. And boring and to easy for 13-year olds. I am a 9 year-old and it is sort of easy to control and is not boring. I think it takes 2 or 3 races to get it.

A good use for the touch screen

This game has a good use for the touch screen if you set it to a certain mode. The special drift control makes you stay on the road better, but it may slow you down. I'm getting addicted to this game. Without the touch screen I would not be addicted. But I'm having some trouble. (I'm stuck on Stage 3, Level 3.) It's a good thing, because this game must be challenging.

Great Graphics, kinda hard though. When computer bumps into you it goes ahead of you, which stinks :K. Stylus mode is fun, but harder (I use the little strap instead of the stylus, I think it's easier.) Cars are cool and you can choose from a wide variety of colors. You race on the same tracks though :( Even though they get harder, it's still kinda dissapointing. You unlock cars by beating them in a race after you beat each Grand Prix. I'm gonna put this in caps so you see it. DON'T BUY THIS GAME HERE FOR $30, CIRCUIT CITY HAS IT FOR $10!!!!! (For a limited time, so ya better hurry)

Ok Game

This was my first Ds game and at first I thought it was awesome but compared to Asphalt Urban Gt and Need For Speed Underground 2 it stinks. It is an ok game though. Its very easy to play but its not really reilistic, and the graphics arn't that bad, but doesn't show a DS's full potential. Its sorta like pong, so easy that its fun for a while but then it wears off in about an hour. If you're thinking about getting a racing game you should just pass this one up. But if your looking for looking for an easy game to entertain little kids go ahead and get it used because its not worth 30 bucks.

easy for a 4 year old FUN ENOUGH for a 16 year old

IF you wonder PRESCHOOLERS can play the DS system. RIDGERACER is the easiest for him. He doesn't use the stylest just his thumbs to drive. MY TEENS 16 and 14 play this too. It easily keeps them entertained.

Ridge Racer DS is just okay, not great

Well, I bought this game on sale at a GameStop and it came out to be a bit of a dissapointment. It just doesn't hold much water as a racing title. The handling is very loosey-goosey, which is fine in a way because it's an arcade racer, but this goes too far. Mario Kart DS is a much better choice and there really isn't a good racer besides that out for the system right now. Like Guilty Gear in fighting for the DS (at the time of this review), Mario Kart is a much better choice though of course the whole feel and montage of the two games are a bit different. But Ridge Racer DS feels a bit watered-down and not quite worth the money, especially if someone payed full price for the title. Undoubtedly fun and tempting to buy because of the Ridge Racer brand, but other than that this is probably one to avoid in favor of Mario Kart or just another title or investment altogether.
