Why did they drop the female character?

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 13 / 113

I have just cancelled my order for Elite Force II. I read the
website descriptions of the game and found out that you cannot
choose the sex of the main character. If the creators of this
"sequel" wish to market to only men, fine. I'm not a man.
Alexandra Munro needs to be placed back into the program.

Way to many bugs. . .

I was exited about the game, but could not get it to run long enough to enjoy it.

Activision was unwilling to assist in troubleshooting, but Best Buy was nice enough to take the bug ridden game back.

To bad because it started out good till it kept crashing.

This Could Have Been Better

For starters, for those of you who want to try, this game does not install on Intel Celeron processors. Secondly, this game is fun for about two hours and then becomes tedious and boring. If the Taldren/Activison alliance wanted to put out a "good" game, then they should have spent more time beta testing ( gee, other software companies do it so why shouldn't they ).

Too Many Bugs!

This game is full of bugs, even after the latest patch. Gameplay is simply ruined by all of progamming flaws, such as lock-ups. Even some game objectives are dead ends. Some missions on this game are unconquerable thanks to the poor programming. [its not worth the price that i paid and is not worth considerably less]

reviewing the free demo

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 1 / 3

Whoever designed the free demo made the big mistake of making it too hard! I have never played the first Star Trek Elite Force and this second one is new to me. The purpose of a demo should be to give the player some feel of the game without it be too difficult for the first time player of the game. Not in this demo! The minute the game starts you are attacked by hordes of aliens not even giving you a second to orientate yourself to the setting or to familiarize yourself with the weapons.
I kept getting killed because the game also did not run smoothly on my system for some reason. I tried changing the video settings but the frame still clipped and had many slowdowns.
My computer has no problem running quake 3 smoothly on high settings but with this game even on the low setting the graphics slowdown was horrible.
If Activision is trying to pursuade people to buy the full game with this demo, in my opinion they failed miserably!
I have no intention now of buying the retail game and will soon delete the demo from my computer!

Too Bad

It is a great Idea and a good try. However, the problem is Activision tried to do it and screwed it all up. Yea it starts out ok. The Demo seems good. But once you try and get into the game, you will find that you will get nowhere, unless you can play for 3-5 hours strait. You are unable to save your game as you go along. The only saving is done when you complete a mission, and most take hours to go through. Now it's not because they are hard just lost of useless stuff to wait through. They try to bridge the Movie-Action game scenario, but end up making mud. I suggest you wait for it to hit the discount bin for $5.00 in about a month.

If I only knew

If I only knew what I was buying, I would have given the money to a charity. No, not to a charity, to the first person I meet on the street.

It took me about 3 hours to understand that that was it, this WAS the game, and I was not going to get anything else. By that time my eyes were closing and I was falling asleep.

This is what you do in the game - you listen to endless and pointless conversations directing you to do something, you go and do it, and when all of a sudden time comes to shoot, you shoot and run and shoot and run and turn and shoot and run and shoot and run and shoot and turn and run and shoot and run and run and run and shoot and shoot and shoot and turn and run.

This game cannot be called strategic, because you are totally limited in choices, it cannot be called arcade because it is not only slow, there is no word in the language to say how slow it is. What kind of game is it?? I don't know...

It Gave Me A Major Headache!

I am highly dissappointed in this sequel. The ships/bases are not as realistic as the first game and the firepower is not as realistic as the first game. This game didn't even come with an instruction manual! I love the instant action of the first game but the sequel is horrible. I have tried to give this game a chance but after wasting 7 hours I'm through. I literally thought I was going to get sick. Do not waste your money on this. The new technology and the addition of the Cardassian and Species 8472 is not worth it. The Maps are not even as good as the first game! The 3D view isn't worth it either, gave me a migraine. I repeat, NOT AS REALISTIC as the first game! I'm going back to the first game and I'm going to try to pawn part II off on someone else.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

How in the world can anyone justify $144.00 for any one game. Especially one that came out that many years ago. I WAS going to buy Armada 2 but after seeing the price.............there is NO WAY on god's green earth I would ever pay that much for a pc game.............It's no wonder Piracy has become the problem it is. I'll settle for the first armada thank you very much, I've seen it for 5 bucks at the game store down the street.
