QWC is the only Harry Potter game that you don't have to worry about the story. It is only Quidditch. I think that World Cup is frusterating, but Hogwarts is extremly fun. Some of the special moves are really creative. There is a lot of stuff that you have to work hard to get. However, the quidditch cards can be annoying.

Easy!!!

When I started to play this game it seemed like a lot of fun. But after the same repetetive gameplay over and over, It started to get very boring. The game idea is good, but there is no altitude control, and it is just way too easy. It isn't worth playing the World Cup over again with the different team because it will just be the exact same thing.
I have never considered myself very good at sports games, but at this game, i can easily cream the other team 500 to 0.

I demand a remake!

Quiddich, though only imaginative, is an incredible sport in concept. I was practically compelled to buy the game because of visions I had of the possibilities there, even though the reviews were lackluster. Well, turns out people were right. The passing and shooting is oversimplified, the 3D element is completely absent, and its a little too easy to steal the quaffle (i.e. the ball.) The bludgers and beaters (bat-weilding players hitting heavy balls at enemy players) were handled fairly well. The vying for special moves by accomplishing certain goals in a match is a nice touch, but another reviewer hit a chord when they compared their vision of a Quiddich video game with Madden Football. Let players compete at Hogwarts, Club (Professional), or World Cup difficulty, and let them handle the recruiting and management of a team (or even let players you had at Hogwarts play on your pro club when you move to the next level.) Let the flying be more 3 dimensional, with the chance to play as any position all the time instead of just chasers, and you could have a game that redefines sports gaming. Right now, its just a cheap shot by E.A. Games at all us Quiddich dreamers out there. $10? Yeah, its worth about that much.

Ok, but could be SO much better

This game was fun at the beginning, but then it just got to be doing the same against the same teams over and over and over. If i were you, i would just rent it from blockbuster, after you have played for 1 hour and a half, itll be boring and you can return it. They should have added an online play feature, so you could play against other teams. i dont really recomend it for you because it is very boring after a while. (...)

Made a wonderful gift.

My nephew was looking for this in a PC release, and I found a new/sealed one here on Amazon:) He says its very fun and he is a tad older than the target age. His only complaints are the menu system.

For the wee ones

I agree with most of the other reviewers here: This game was clearly designed for younger kids, with the fun, eye-candy set high and any possible frustration kept to a minimum. It's clear that EA Games just adapted a soccer-game engine, trying to minimize the three-dimensional nature of Quidditch. That, combined with the utterly predictable AI system, makes it possible for an adult player to WIPE THE FLOOR with any and all comers.

It's aggravating, really: It's not likely that there will be another version of this game made for adults with, say, an AI system worthy of the name. And EA games could have so easily created a workable 3D flying system--just use the usual WASD/three-button mouse controls from any first-person shooting game or else the independent-gravity flight engine from "Freelancer" or similar.

Eh...

When I viewed a preview of this game I was thoroughly surprised with the graphics et cetera. When I received the game as a gift, I was most excited. About twenty minutes into the game I was bored stiff. The game is either too simple at times (I won every single one of my matches just by doing the same moves over and over again) or too confusing (there was way too many tricks to learn and comprehend whilst playing multiple positions.) I loved the whole idea of the game as well as the graphics, I just found the game too easy at times and got bored of it quite fast.

Good, but could have been better!

I was so excited when this game came out because I thought it will be very fun just like how quiddich should be but after I tired it at home it was just okay to me. I don't know about you but I am a huge HP fan so I don't know why this game wasn't so appealing to me as I thought it would be. I like the graphics and stuff in this game but if I were you, I would rather buy the Harry Potter 1, 2 or 3 computer game instead of this one. I mean, they have quiddich in them too just not so much like this one. It really irrates your eyes when you stare at the screen for so long chasing the snitch.

It's a good game but could been better.

Pretty Good!

Controls: AMAZING
Color: PERFECT
True to the book: Yup
Idea: EXCELLENT
EA games has created the sport of Quidditch into na amazing 3-D computer adventure. You can now play as any Hogwarts house (something you couldn't do in the other games). I for one always have wanted to control Draco Malfoy as a seeker in a computer game and now I can. Also, you can play in an internation team. The Hogwarts field represents the one in the movie wonderfully and the internation fields are EXTREMELY creative and well done. They were a HUGE surprise. The images are excellent. This is the best Harry Potter PC game that they ahve yet come up with and my favorite. I LOVE playing it and if oyu ahven't tried it out yet click the yellow ADD TO SHOPPING CART button (If you're a kid tell your parents to click the yellow ADD TO SHOPING CART button.)
