This is a great game, I personally like it better than Q3. (I have both games UT and Q3. I like the maps and weapons better on UT, even though you gotta love the BFG on Q3) This game has great graphics and sound. I love multiplayer, Its very addicting. Maybe I'll see you online...

Buy it Now if you have a brain

For one, I would advise any readers to disregard the review saying that the reqs are too high. I run in on my P450 in software rendering mode, and it runs very well. the net play is great (Although I personally am usually the worst player on the server.. heh..) and the various games make it much more interesting than the conventional repeated blowing up of other people. Overall, it's a great highly addictive game.

If it worked on HomeXP

When I got this game I played it for about 2 days and decided it sucks.
Then after a couple of weeks I played it again because some friends said it was cool. I thought I should give it another chance and I played it with friends, but the game just doesn't appeal to me.
It's quake 1/2/3 for me! (even though 3 was a bit disappointing).
I don't get how everyone just seems to like UT.
This is the game that got me back to playing games that actually have a story.

Only 5 stars to FPS(First Person Shooters) Lovers

First, I played the Teen version of this game(which is less violentive). The game is fun and well made. But if you keep playing it, if you're not a FPS lover you'll soon be tired of this game. The awesome weapons and unique arena drags anyone who likes fighting games. But the game play might be boring. Usally you do in this game is like this:

You run around the arena, pick up weapons, and run around some more, crash into a enemy, fire weapons, totally blow them up, then you get blown up by other players and AI's and repeat this things for half an hour. This is what made me stopping playing this game. So this game is like 1~2 stars to people who's not very good at FPS. BUT if your game genre is really a FPS game least try the demo version.
This is an awesome game to FPS lovers. (by the way this version of the game is rated `M' so it's very cruel)

Good, but many MAJOR problems

Pro: Awesome gameplay modes: Dm is still fun, but CTF is perfect for beginners and Assault is something every FPS should have. Very pretty graphics: They sure do look good, especially the water. Great Hi-res textures too. Unique maps: Underwater, moving trains, castles, floating in space. You name it, UT can do it. Good Server Browser: Not as good as gamespy but very, very close. Much better than Q3A's.

Con: Unbalanced: Some maps and weapons are way too unbalanced and give the advantage to one side. Pathetic Renderer: Even on a high end P3 Coppermine or Athlon with a GeForce, the graphics are extremely sluggish. The only mode in which it works well is Glide. Net Code Sucks: Come on. You can do better than this!. Expect lag on all but the fastest connections.

All in all, a good game that has its flaws, but remains enjoyable nonetheless.

ADDICTIVE!

After having UT for only 1 day, my Quake 3 CD became a beer coaster.

Just as good as Quake but better levels

This game consisted of two awesome items, first was the improvement that it has made from the first unreal. Second are the detailed and highly entertaining multiplayer levels. You could play in them for hours. I say its a bit better than quake but they are both great games

Amazing.

No words to describe, simply that It blows Quake 3 out of the water. This game offers so many varities of play, the graphics are good, that I simply have to recommend over all the current shooter crop.
