another cool Hitman title

I played Hitman 2 first and then backtracked to Contracts. I enjoyed the cinematography and the storyline as well as the game play. Some reviewers note some flaws, but I didn't examine the game with a fine-toothed comb; as long as games are made by humans, there are gonna be flaws. It seems you can't go wrong with the Hitman titles. It will provide hours of entertainment. Enjoy!

Could've Used A Little More Effort

Building upon a tried and true foundation, IO Interactive releases the 3rd (though might more rightfully be called 2 1/2) Installment of the Hitman series. Admittedly not nearly as interesting or inspired as the superb Silent Assassin, Contracts is none the less a worthy addition to the francise.

The decision to mix old missions with new ones can be taken as a mixed blessing. On the bright side it gives veteran Hitmen a chance to play the missions with a more modern take. The general presentation of Hitman has much improved since the original, and while I've not gotten to any of the throwback missions yet; they are supposed to be at least somewhat "remixed" from the originals. Furthermore, the idead also serves as sort of a "greatest hits" (no pun) for newcomers.

Visually, the game is only slightly upgraded from its predicessor, mostly to take advantage of more modern graphics card abilities. Personally I think this is great since the engine itself still looks and performs quite nicely.

Sound effects and musical score are both very nice though I woe to the exclusion of the subtle "twang" emitted when you tighten up the fibre wire in preparation for a takedown. Jesper Kyd's score shines as always, adding appropriate mood and drama where each is necessary.

The overall gameplay, while steadilly refined since its original incarnation, is still largely the same. While this isn't necessarilly bad, it does lend even more familiarity to a game that already treads along the lines of "been there, done that."

All in all Hitman 2 1/2 is still a solid game despite somewhat uninspired execution. (the puns the puns!) If nothing else it definitely serves to wet one's appetite for the upcomming 4th installment.

I totally enjoy this game. I like especially the many ways you can execute your missions. I enjoy also the different sounds the game makes when you reach different stages. There is a sound when danger is near, there is a sound that indicates cruel victory when you have accomplished your mission and are able to escape. To sum it up the game is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Great shoot up game

I had a great time playing this game. great graphics, sound, blood and bullet holes. It is a real bloody game. It has 12 missions and was a bit short for me. I will still replay this game a bit later.

First of all this game did not live upto the expectations. The main reason is SOME LEVALS OF THE FIRST GAME (Codename 47) IS BEING REPEATED (WITH THE SAME OBJECTIVES).Only little differences here and there. The new missions which they have out in is good. Now Briefly-

Pros- Improved movement,Artificial Intelligence,Graphics

Cons- Some levals repeated from the first part,Too easy compared the other games of Hitman.

I would recommend this to anyone who is a first timer or who has already played Hitman.

Edios was very dairing to realese agent 47 (The first hitman) but most people liked it. Hitman 2 silent assasin did most things right and was a big hit on Ps2 and Xbox. The third one though is fasinating and does everything right. I've played a demo and you start off pretty bad in paris but Agent 47 gets a pool stick and breaks someones windpipe and he's back in it. This game will have about a thousand ways that you can kill a person. This game is Rated Rp. right now but will most likely will be rated M. This game will also let you combinde you're brifecase and put guns in them. This game is most likely trailing the other games so it should be rated M. BUT you can raise and lower the blood if it's rated M.

Disappointing to say the least

Ok, I bought Hitman: Contracts and thought that it would be a great TPS/stealth game. Alas, it wasn't to be. For a start, the game itself doesn't play all that well, with less than adequate framerates (even though my computer specs are higher than what is recommended)

I found it extremely difficult, even on Easy, to approach a guard and kill him stealthily, without alerting the other guards and causing a bloodbath. I understand the game requires patience but I'm not going to remain hidden in the shadows for 10 minutes just so that I can assassinate a couple of guards.

The controls are also annoying and take alot of time to get used to, even if you configure them to your own liking. There also don't appear to be any health packs so that you can replenish your health. If you die, you die, and there's nothing you can do about it. It may be more realistic that way but it's also less enjoyable.

There are also a limited number of saves (7) that you can use for each mission. So, for example, if you did a quick save and suddenly lost most of your energy early on in the game, it will be almost impossible to complete the mission without starting right from the beginning, which makes it very cumbersome.

All in all, I was very disappointed and from a personal point of view, would not recommend this game.

The story line for this game was great it reviews his past missions. The graphis werte superb and the guns got better. But the game was for lack of a better word good. Not great not fantastic. The game is not worth 50$ it is worth 30 or 20 but not 50. The controls are bad too. The people who made the game should have left the orginal setup alone but if you do buy the game the training i would reccomend. Because you will need it
