I was atually going to buy a PSP so i could play this game. I got to save myself $250 now. I Know that this game is based in Liberty City. But I was hopeing for better graphics. The Graphics are after VC (becuase the car engines have more detail in them) but before SA (becuase the car engines don't have as much detail in them. I still think that the GTA series is the best game series out there. I just wish it had better graphics.

It's Alright, but it rains too much 4 me.

As stated before, this games is one for the gta books but there are some parts in it that aren't all that. For the most part, I don't care that it seems to rain almost every 4 to 6 game hours. Someone in the game must've been doing an awful lot of praying for rain :o)
Well, I'm going to do my best to beat this one and then it's back to Vice City for me.

I was under the impression this game was made strictly for the PSP system, so I was caught off guard when I saw it for the PS2 at the local Blockbuster. The gameplay reflects GTA III; no climbing, swimming, eating, working out, etc. The city itself is the same one from GTA III. The graphics also feel dated, but the gameplay is still enjoyable. This is more of a filler game until the next all-new Grand Theft title hits the shelves sometime this Christmas I presume. At 20 bucks though, you can't go wrong.

If you pre-ordered this game back in April when Amazon had it priced at $29.99, Amazon and Toys 'R Us decided to screw every person that did so. They charged me the original $29.99 even though Rockstar priced the game at $19.99. I'd advise all that were ripped off like this to return your game and buy it elsewhere. It's very sad that Amazon would do this and I'm sure there are several more out there that they did the same thing to. Beware!

This is my first PS2 game and I'm probably not even half way through. Since getting this game I have finished GOW, HITMAN SA, SOTC, and now I'm starting on FFX. Obviously LCS doesn't have the graphics, storyline, or player control to keep me interested.

Not impressed.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the nations most popular series because of the violence,when i was a kid violent games were Doom,Duke Nukem,Wolfenstein 3D tose were bloody as hell games,This is a Great GTA game becuase Liberty City is were the GTA series started it is good because People couldn't buy PSP's and they were die hard fans of the series so this is a chance for them to play it.:p

Only for the hardcore

This game is good for its price but only for hardcore fans! - Its sad to see that you cant swim in this game (and you can in the others) the game is great graphically and musically but if you are new to the GTA series then i suggest you get San Andreas first!

I know that this game is rated m for mature, but ive been playing vice city since i was 7 so it dont matter.Being the newest game it could have had a lot more additions. The first being that there arnt any planes.
second there wasnt any propertys to buy (yes no more driving around selling drungs in that delightful little ice cream van...). The fog is even more annoying than the vice city fog. All in all its a good game but just doesnt live up to the grand theft auto reputation.

This Games Story Takes Place Before GTA 3 So It's Sort Of Like A Prequal Set In Liberty City Compared To The Original It Looks A Lot Better Plus They Added Bikes And Motor Cycles And Attempted To Improve The Targeting By Using The Targeting System From San Andreas I Hate The Targeting But Being Able Target Manually Is A Good Thing If You Don't Own A Psp I'd Suggest Getting This Game But If You Do And Played It On That System There Really Isn't Any Point To Buying This Game Unless You Really Really Love GTA

A very good bargain for $20 i mean a new gta for $20 is brill,
but the graphix is worst than the preveos gtas and the game play is a bit glichy but the missions are grate and the charictors are good,Why cant you like san andreas swim instead of dround annd i prefere the gtas car showroom with the banshee instead of the kuruma but over all it is well worth $20. 10/10 bargain. Rik
